Butterflies

Beneath the gray skies, lied a magical fortress
Under the galaxy, fluttering species roamed around here and there
Tedious work was given to the wicked witch’s elves
They all shouted “All Hail the Wicked Queen!”
Evergreen were there internal glare
Running on mound less lands were unicorns of light
Fighting off ogres and dragons were a prince’s and knight’s job
Looping through bubbles were delicate babies that cooed their first words
International games were held every month
Evening gowns were of hues of rainbow
Stunning they were yet were awfully full of might

Welcome to PS! Diana, you have potential that is exploding. Keep writing. Very imaginative, yet tied to the title "Butterflies." I may offer this idea if u wish to write for publication: Make the lines shorter. And count the syllables to make it the same in - at least - every odd or even lines. Just for fun, count syllables in Shakespeare's sonnets. ThanX, Dr. Deo
