Saying Goodbye

As the music plays
I drown out the sound around
Reality slowing fading away
The lyrics come at me
Like a wave of emotions
Remembering the beautiful pain
Memories shoot through my head
Like a silent film
black and grey
I try to remember his voice
his soft touch
his presence
him
I open my eyes to the harsh reality
I am here and he is not
I look at his stone cold face
I tell him I am here
I know he can't hear me
but I know he is watching
Before they take him away
I grab his hand
I tell him
I love you
I'll see you soon
Goodbye papa

Like a black & white movie, you try to recall the VOICE. Lovely style, great suspense, to find HE IS DAD! "Remembering the beautiful pain" and "I'll see you soon Goodbye papa[,]" are lines to remember.
