These Thoughts

Living with it would be better
If I didn’t feel trapped behind this wool knit sweater
I try to face the facts and see
Life isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be
I look at the bigger picture and realize
I will never be what others see in their eyes
Standing up and pronouncing my name
Just won’t be the same
When I’m gone

What a world it will be without me
Trying so hard to believe
That miracles make a difference to those
Who go out and prove persistence shows
I sit alone and watch my words
As I type a text that seems absurd
“I’m doing okay”
Though my eyes turning grey
What a world it would be
To have not known me
When I’m gone

These letters I look at
Don’t seem to attack
The slightest bit of doubt
I feel roaming about
These streets seem to turn
As I walk alone and burn
In this tiny little head
That just won’t let me get to bed
I scream and I shout
But people just walk about
I can’t tell them how I feel
But they will understand when they kneel
How much my head made me bleed
How much time I spent alone in need
When I’m gone

NICE! Love the beginning, and the emotion you convey. Edging to darkness. I like! Keep them coming!
