When We Were Young

You do not see how my hair has turned grey
or the age lines that adorn my face
I watch as you look at the photo by our bed
my hair long like my nimble limbs then, running
a beautiful sea in the background, a smiling face
the days when we were young and free
when we believed we had forever
when we laughed and played
Now, we are changed, yet the same
and our love had become stronger
and you see the me you feel in love with
and for this we are forever young.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
