The Shackled Ghost

POEM “ THE SHACKLED GHOST “ by Martin gedge ©
( pin by Aray MarTina )

Caught between a tug of war of love and deaths desire
A shackled ghost upon the post a roast to spit the fire
Chained to the remains of struggled pains that I have led
A rose to lie the dark so prickly sharp and petal red
And like a slave that I must brave this shalow grave I fear
A smiled joke this casket cloak to soak of every tear
In light of praise a facial glaze to raise the eyes of god
The devil digs a hole as deep to keep me in his sod
This white of wall this dark of hall a door to call my name
Upon the wind a whispered grin to welcome in the game
To win or lose which way you choose if you refuse to go
It’s not a choice the inner voice will reap of what you sow
And as do life to twist the knife and siphon all your will
The pain won’t stop until you drop the plot that gets its fill
And of the priest a silent peace you must release your heart
The very soul that once was whole now tearing you apart
As eyes to meet out in the street among the heated duel
One will rise the other lies the dying tries of you
That draws the line the great divine between the time and space
The devils deck will soon reflect who ever draws the ace ….
