Part Time Poet

PART TIME POET

I tried to overtake a star
Leaving behind the truth so far

One of my biggest fear which I couldn't even bear
Was to leave things I dear

My passion my dreams
To be heard they screamed

But because of courage I lacked it all was in the vain
I tried to remove this permanent stain

And wanted to end this continuous pain
But there was no gain

I was a burning star
Covered in a body full of scars

Always desired to flow with the overwhelming tunes of a guitar
As boundless as they are

All I wished was to go with flow
And to destroy my glow

This was the only way they would accept me
As their self desired boundary enclosed me

I walked the path of astray
Wasting my nights and my days

I kept going the wrong way
Soon my hopes started to decay

I was lost
But determined to achieve my goal at any cost

I tried but kept failing
In this phase of life my boat was not sailing

Nothing was simple or straight
I blamed it on fate

I was depressed
My goal was suppressed

I think everyone is here to deceive
And there's no one to believe

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

I absolutely love reading this marvelous piece of poetry from you, maybe the reason I like it too much is that it also defines my life but even after trying for three continues years and not even getting a single lead to work with, I still haven't given up and hope is all over me, if not today, tomorrow, if not tomorrow then surely one day. I see that you are new here, so I wish you a very warm welcome and I am sure that you will enjoy your time here, secondly good luck for the contest
