The Best Gifts I Recieve With Hesitation

The best gifts I receive with hesitation.
I’m unsure, at first, of their worth.
And the greatest things found in creation
Can only be found in rebirth.
A seed planted unknowingly grows,
Slowly what I once knew, I doubt.
Those truths spring up like a wild rose,
Truths I now know I can’t live without.
Who can comprehend the ways of man?
And what is worth to humanity?
Who claims to beauty understand,
Or describe it perfectly?
There is no one definition of need,
No explanation that never fails.
To one, a rose, another, a weed.
To yet another, wind for their sails.
How can I recognize when I’ve been given
Those gifts that sneak up in the dark?
Or know a wildfire sent from Heaven,
When it only starts as a spark?
