2027

No longer Heaven
And not a country is known for being stronger
With a sun that has no reason to rise
And a moon that doesn't want to set the midnight light
No heat or any weather to try and beat
But streets filled with human waste
And a horrid smell that tastes of incompetence
There is no more glee
For we can’t treat the home we have been giving
With respect and elegance
Plants wilted and unrecognizable
Houses rotted and shattered
Streets cluttered and cracked
And air so sour you will feel that you have no power
No use in restoring it
For everything has been destroyed by Earth's own men
And if one tried one would end up dead
Regret and guilt
But there is no time
Earth is ready to go
And we won’t stop it
