Thank You Mom

As you took my hand,
You held it within.
When I began to stand,
You bragged to the kin.
Soon I was a little girl,
With gorgeous locks of hair.
You gently combed each curl,
With such love and care.
As time went by,
I requested your advice.
There was always a reply,
Told in ways to suffice.
Encouraging me to always do my very best,
Gave me the strength to persevere.
You showed me that life is a test,
With a future that remains unclear.
Now as my age continues to progress,
It has become clear to see.
There are no words to fully express,
Just how much you mean to me.
They only allow me to say,
"From the bottom of my heart-- I love you!"
I thank God everyday,
That I am a part of you.
Your values taught me to be strong,
And your talks turned my stormy moods calm.
With you behind me I cannot go wrong,
For this and so much more--Thank You Mom!!
