Honey Bones

honey bones,
appear sickle and sweet
broken in two softly
yet sickly concrete

screaming in silence
with the hope to be heard
heart is pulsating
vision, still blurred

conscience now fading
mind so empty and numb
smile is harshly feigned
becoming bitter and dumb

a self-induced haze
filled with utter shame
every morning I dread
because there's no one else to blame

toxic and vulgar
every thought is constant hell
trapped in a choked affliction
but i need not dwell

honey bones,
a prisoner of ones mind
trying to crawl out
Ive never been so confined

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
