Untitled

Angry emotion takes to ink
And smears itself across my page
In a desperate attempt
To name the beast
Whose craft is confusion
Whose art is concealment
Will in the naming
Light be forced
Down the throat of denial
To shine through the bowels of truth.
Will peace and sanity
Reign
In a world of hate and lunacy?

"like serpents through resting grass" explains that movement perfectly! I like this one a lot, Gretchen. Thank you for sharing.

Kaley, I recognize the frailty of humanness and good intentions going so bad fast in this poem. It is a favorite for me.

I love it that you STROLLED into the conclave of the depraved. So casually you make it sound. This is an awesome poem that gets better in every stanza.

I cannot help but wonder if you are having trouble posting to the Soup website; because I have been having problems and this poem reminds me of my own troubles lately.

The angry emotions yell loudly and clearly in this poem. Wow!
