Lisah Kerwin Poem
Angry emotion takes to ink
And smears itself across my page
In a desperate attempt
To name the beast
Whose craft is confusion
Whose art is concealment
Will in the naming
Light be forced
Down the throat of denial
To shine through the bowels of truth.
Will peace and sanity
Reign
In a world of hate and lunacy?

Lisah Kerwin Poem
May the spirit of forgotten love
Touch you gently on the face
And the truth of inspired utterance
Quietly erase
The pain and shame
And disappointment
The disenchantment
You must have felt
Like mist before the morning sun
May it be gone
Without a trace.

Lisah Kerwin Poem
Planted in the shadow
Of your unforgiveness
And accusations
My stems
Already deprived
Sunlight's strength
Grow weak
Unable to support.
Leaves wilt
Flowers fade
Falling at my feet.
There is nothing I can say
In your eye
That seals my quilt
So
Here I stand awaiting
Some Spring
To thaw
The path I walk on.
