Harriett Hethcox Poem
There was a war sometime ago where mem were ordered young and old,
to fight the battle keep us safe but for them no escape.
The war went on and the battle raged soldiers dieing everyday,
so many men and boys too side by side fought for me and you.
Viet-Nam what can I say,War of War still killing today.
Agent Orange,Flash Backs too,
many deceases worst than any flu.
One by one they did go for Uncle Sam made it so,
fighting a war they knew not why just to stand shoot and die.
Marching, fighting days on end never knowing if it would end,
or if they would return to the country where they were born.
For the ones who didn't die they were'nt even reconized,
no not one would they meet or even give them an honorary seat.
As for me I have to say they should not have been treated that way.
A Hero's welcome they deserved and crowds of people on every curb,
but instead they fought, died and we didn't as much as say Good-Bye!

Harriett Hethcox Poem
Angels are waiting in the shadows like footsteps in the sand,
waiting in the shadows ready to take our hands.
Be not depressed or worried about things you do not see,
for the Angels in the shadows were appointed one to you and one to me.
In this time of terror when your worried so,
your Angel in the shadow will tell you where to go.
Home is just around the corner and safe it will be,
for the Angels in the shadows were appointed one to you and one to me.

Harriett Hethcox Poem
It's time now the days have run out,
your on the way now there's no doubt.
Your job here is finished it's your time to reap,
so just close your eyes now and you'll be asleep.
The work you did here will continue on,
and for all who knew you,
your memory will forever live on.
I hear the trumpets blowing and their calling your name,
onced you've departed things will never be the same.
So go on now it's your time to shine,
and your Crown of Gold is waiting just inside.

Harriett Hethcox Poem
I was sitting here thinking of all I used to do,
when thoughts came to mind of beautiful memories of you.
Their are so many memories it took awhile to see of how
many memories you created just for me.
Now,I know you have heard their are Angels among us,
so hear my words true.
"I know this is real for I found my Angel in you."
Their are many Angels around us to help us though each day,
then their are Angels like you that lead and show the way.
So as I sit here thinking of memories from my past,
I can truely say theses will forever last.
And since you are my Angel and did more than your share,
if I go before you I'll say a prayer.
I'll ask the Lord to bless you in ways you never knew,
I'll ask for theses blessings for all I put you though.
Now! since I can't repay you in any other way,
please accept this poem I wrote for you today.

Grateful

Harriett Hethcox Poem
A stranger came into my life one day,
then eight years later up and went away.
He filled a void no-one else could fill,
for that it gave me such a thrill.
Family and friends disliked him so ,
for they knew he would surely go.
And they hated I had to share a lover
they said just didn't care.
In my heart I knew this was true,
but in my mind it made me blue.
So just as all sad stories end,
someone elses life begins.
A stranger will appear in their life,
become a lover in one night.
Then just as quickly as it begins,
it will surely end.
So someone else's life can begin!
