Cupid Had An Arrow

Cupid had an Arrow
copyright by Julie Dunkley

Cupid had an arrow and he let go of his bow,
the arrow tore into my heart and now I love you so.
The heavens opened up for me and the angels sang a tune,
I saw a paradise with you and the feelings so unreal.

Darling, when I'm near to you, I get shivers up my spine,
my heart dances a tune and how this feels divine and
oh, this feels divine.

I always want to be with you and never be apart,
The sun is shining bright outside and its shining in our hearts.
Baby am I the one for you like you're the one for me
could you love me for all eternity, as hopelessly as me?

Cupid had an arrow and he let go of his bow,
the arrow tore into my heart and
now I love you so.

Remembering

Remembering

My heart was racing and pounding like a drum
It was beating like it had never done
The blood was rushing through my veins
My temperature was soaring with a rage

The feelings were intense as they took a hold
The passion inside was about to explode
The feelings rushed from head to my toes
Is this love or is this lust I so long for your tender touch

Beautiful the desire inside of me
We look at each other and people see the chemistry
Do I dare to touch your face and hold you in a warm embrace?

The fireworks explode when you hold me and
Kiss me through the night, I shiver as our feelings ignite
Passions burning like a light
Like a candle burning bright
This love we have will never die

The Beautiful Poet

The Beautiful Poet

The beautiful poet sat down one day,
writing her wows away.
She wrote down so many things and
turned it into the most beautiful thing.
A beautiful poem for us to read,
It really was the most amazing thing.

The beautiful poet, let her feelings flow and
made her words glow.
Her feelings ran through every line she wrote,
which made you weep a tear or two.

The poets, work was the most beautiful thing,
with every word you could hear,
the poets heart a fluttering,
with every line, which came straight from her heart.

The beautiful poet just made her work glow,
with every feeling, that she could ever write.
Pouring out and turning a word or two,
Into a beautiful poem for you.

Mrs Biddle and the Cat Called Tiddle

Mrs Biddle had a cat called Tiddle,
Tiddle had a wiggle in a basket, by the side of Mrs Biddle,
Mrs Biddle wasn't pleased,
she had to get down on her knees,
to clean the wiggle that the cat called Tiddle
had made by the side of Mrs Biddle.

Mr Biddle came walking in,
phew, whats that smell shrieked Mr Biddle,
as someone in the house had a wiggle.
the cat called Tiddle had a wiggle, right in a basket by my side
there, there, the cat feels better, now he's had a wiggle
sighed Mr Biddle.

Mrs Biddle glared at Mr Biddle and frowned at the cat called Tiddle
for doing a wiggle in a basket at the side of Mrs Biddle
that was the story of Mrs Biddle and the cat called Tiddle.

A Foggy Mist and a Chilling Sound

A Foggy Mist and a Chilling Sound

Walking down the dimly lit street,
a foggy mist rising around my feet.
Soon the fogs so thick, I can't see,
walking blindly, by the river,
that's running past me.

Street lamps can just be seen,
then I hear a scream.
The intensifying fear of something
so unholy, chillingly cold.
Screams could be heard through the mist filled streets.
This grotesque sound like a lunatic running around.

A feeling more terrifying, than I could have imagined,
then silence as no more sound.
Fear surrounded the very air that we breathe,
chilling as I imagine murder most foul!
A sinking feeling, as I was walking around.
Then some how, I had lost my way and
found myself wondering around and
going the wrong way.

Then I found myself in a graveyard,
with catacombs and labyrinths leading
to tombs underground.
Unnerved by where I was and
scared beyond belief, perplexed by
the mist and the events of the night.

The ground was dank from the misty steam.
Then I had a vision of this fearsome looking thing,
this monster stood before me,
this creature of the night, with demon eyes.
Full of anger and hatred,
this spirit form, this gruesome being,
with the most horrific eyes!

I was shaking and trembling,
I felt cowardly inside.
My teeth were chattering, as my eyes
were opened wide.
Then this creature of the night,
ran off into the deep misty waters,
disappearing out of sight.
I ran off into the mist filled streets again.

I Am a Cat

I am a cat
              © 2012 By Julie Dunkley

I am a cat who purrs like that
I purr as I wash my paws
I roll about on the floor
Scratching my back on the floor
Scratching my fleas where I please
I am a feline cat if you please

Ssss if you cross my path
You'd better let me sit on your lap or else
I will scratch the floor
Let me sleep on the rug
Infront of the fire nice and snug

Then you can dish out my grub
Chicken and gy I like the best
I sit licking my chops as
The smell floats past in the air

Munch, munch
Chop, chop
Slop, slop

As I lick my chops
Mm this tasteful best
Ups dropped a bit on the floor
Got to get it up with my paw

Meow I need a drink
That will fill in a little gap, I think
Now it's time to have a proper wash
So I'm nice and clean
When I have my sleep

Is It Me

Is It Me?

Is it me, you’re looking for?
Or a love you had once before?
Is it me, or another?
Do you love me like no other?

Is it me, my darling love?
Am I your true love?
When your eyes close,
do you think of me?
Is it me, those lovely eyes see?

When you hold me tight,
Is it me you want, all through the night?
Is it me you love endlessly?
Is it me my darling?
Please answer me.

Light a Candle

Light a Candle

We'll light a candle just for you
As we whisper that we love you
We'll say goodbye as you make us all cry
Your an angel up in the sky

Nothing will ever ease the pain
I don’t think we'll ever stop crying again
But we'll never forget you
You will always be so very precious
To us and the rest of the family
When we look up at the sky above
We'll think of you with only love

Tears will trickle down our face and
We'll remember only the good times we had
With you and your loving ways
Your beautiful smile and laughter and
A caring mother too
You always brightened us up and
Made us all smile in many different ways

So when we light a candle for you and whisper
That we love you
We'll remember all the special times
That God let us spend with you

So mom from us all
Good night and God bless
We love you more

All Eternity

All Eternity

I walked down a path,
which lead to a stream,
it travelled far and wide.
Then came rivers and lakes,
which eventually lead to the sea.

I followed this path,
which lead to all eternity,
my destiny's end I could see!
This path of wisdom and hope,
a glimmer of sunshine was waiting there for me.

My power and my glory was here at last!
The strength and the power, it came to me,
The wisdom of hope at last,
surrounded me in my moments of truth.
This never-ending journey,
just waiting there for me.

Heart Laces

Your starting to undo my heart laces again
All of the string is coming undone again.

You pulled at the lace and my heart fluttered away
like a butterfly and then my heart started to race

My heart started pounding like a drum,
my pulse was racing, like it had never done.

My heart laces have come undone,
You pulled at the lace and now they've come undone.
