Death's Game

Death’s Game

I take your hand
You hold onto to mine
As our week comes to and end
I thought you’d be fine
But in the wake of death
No one is safe
One small call
And it causes us to shake
You lay there
Not able to talk
You skin is pale
You eyes are too
But I still say my final goodbye
And I give my last hug to you
My family is frantic
Your wife is insane
But that’s just how death
Plays the game
