You Wear Your Death Well

You wear your death well
When I met you
The two exes in your eyes
Were anything but a surprise
You couldn’t walk but
The fact that you glided
Across the floor without using your feet
Didn’t blow me away
Don’t try to cover up the black under your eyes
It’s so pretty on dead girls
You are so noticeably lovely
That I almost forget that you can’t breathe

I Tasted of Temptation

I tasted of temptation
With a pinch of infatuation
A touch of captivation
And a dash of imagination
With heaps of fascination
And a sense of excitation
With this newfound jubilation
You’re my favorite fixation

A Saving Grace From

A saving grace from
The stormiest weather
A sun to shine down upon
Drying up my sopping tears
To place them in a basin of
Your love

Dear Little Girl

Dear Little Girl,
Why do you cry
When you’re kicked down
Over nonsense?
It’s not your fault
Besides,
A broken bone
Is better than
A broken soul

Falling Notes

Falling notes
Mask an already present disguise
Fate is tempting
But he doesn’t believe in it
We’re not calm and quiet
We speak stately and pleasant
But the signals at the end of the bridge
Shout ‘Man over board’
And peering down, it’s you
Water-filled lungs and all

Wait Til Winter Comes

Wait til winter comes
I’ll be bundled in velvet again
And softer than you’ve ever seen me
If my eyes are watering
The wind will wipe it away
And if I shiver uncontrollably
A cozy blanket of frost
Will surely wrap me in its warmth
You never held me like the wind does
You never even tried

On Top of Failure

On top of failure
Is a lonely Lucifer
Awaiting my arrival
I have fallen below bounds
That were once so familiar to my feet
So, the ground feels different,
Hotter and slightly unstable
Much like my temperament
And in this case
‘F’ does not signify fantastic
But we all know what it means

Said It a Million Times

Said it a million times
Is it sinking in your mind?
Open your ears to these words
Is it too much for you
To hear what is really true?
These are your lies resurfacing
I didn’t know that when the world ends
We will be the only two left
I’d like to leave you with the trees
And the grass and the sky
Because I would rather die
Then be with you for all time

Sentimental Scars

Sentimental scars
Hurt so much more
Than these physical blemishes
I’d rather bleed briefly
And heal with a scratch
Than bleed forever
And never be repaired

Put These Facts Together

Put these facts together
And solve the crime at hand
If I collect the clues,
Will you piece the puzzle?
Our teamwork is terrific
But I’m terrible on my own
Say you’ll never leave
Me with just myself
