Give it your all and do your best.
Always tell your self you can out run the rest.
Your heart is racing, your palms all sweaty,
you're ready to drive.
Round and round you go.
Lap after lap,
Like it's the race of your life.
Mash the gas, and make a pass,
Faster and faster you go.
5 laps left to go,
It's the race of your life.
You have to keep pushing.
3 laps, 2 laps,
Turn after turn, you're getting closer.
Almost to the finish line.
I see the checkered flag shine,
I take the win.
That was the race of my life.

I cry out louder and louder each time,

Traveling along an old dusty back road,
Listening to some good ole Rock & Roll.
Clearing my mind and trying to unwind.
Thinking back on the good old days we had.
The more I think about you, the more I get sad.
So I keep traveling along this dusty old back road , hoping to clear my mind.
Still listening to that good ole Rock & Roll,
Still trying to unwind.

Why did you say you loved me?
Why did you say you cared?;
Why did you tear my heart into?
With just one little stare.
Why did I have to love you?
Why did I have to care?;
When all you did was took my heart,
And threw it everywhere.
You said you really loved me,
That you'd always be there;
Yet where you once had sat,
Is only an empty chair.
Why did you say you loved me?
Why did you say you cared?;
Why did I have to love you?
Why did I have to care?;
Now all I'm left with is this,
Old empty chair.
