Lines For the Man In My Next Life

1. THIS LIFE
    Funny how our love isn't for this time;
Maybe we are meant to be together in our next life.
    Some things can't work like our love that is lost;
Let me begin our story through writing these poems.

2. FIRST SIGHT
It was the last quarter of my senior years
You caught my eye in the middle of nowhere
Guitar on your back, brown eyes and odd stares
I couldn't silence my heart for it is pounding loud and clear

3. UNCONVENTIONAL MAN
He writes with his left, plays guitar with his right
Sits at the last row, enjoys doing maths
Predictable is boring and strange for you is fun
Everyday I'm falling for this unconventional man.

4.THE SONG
First date would be at the back of the car
Singing words of love as you pluck your guitar
Underneath the pale moon and glowing stars above
I look at you at once with so much sight of love

5.COURTSHIP
We didn't have the usual courtship ways
Where we spoke of love and affirmed it with yes
And though am an old soul in this modern days
You saw my light when I thought you wouldn't notice

6.RAINY DAYS
It was one night when we talked of coelho's alchemist
The rain kept falling just like how it used to be
You held my hand, as you brought me some coffee
It was warm..Just like how your love used to be

You said the skies are sad again
Everytime we're together, the rain pours like it is in so much pain
You kissed my forehead ,whispered words of love
Why is this love so warm and yet so sad to have?

I Confuse Love

I was riding in a bus on my way back home
Watching the pouring rain outside my window,
as my thoughts recognize this epitome
this argument I had in an attempt to answer my confusions

I confuse love to create some magic
embodied in a situation we call “romantic”
When in reality it’s simple, enduring and tragic
Far less than being dramatic
I saw love from those who are unloved
Those who receive less but give more than what they have
Society calls them stupid for they weep and starve
when they’re the ones who justify the reality of love
