The Land I Love

This is my declaration,
This is where I take my stand,
A Citizen, a Veteran ,A Grown Ass Man
The things I see daily
Came as a total surprise,
A President with no Integrity,
Everyday spouting new LIES,
A Congress that should balance,
Everyday closes its eyes,
A Congress that should check ,
Everyday tells me pigs fly,
If I cant trust those that lead,
Then what options are left,
TOTAL complete ANARCHY,
MAY My Strength be My WEALTH.
May the training I was provided,
See me through the coming storm,
May the blood of my former leaders
keep Me ETERNALLY WARM.

What's Real

I walk through life daily
Not knowing if anything is real
I see people in pain daily
And just don't know what to feel
I eat the food you eat
But the tates is so bland
I hear the music u hear
I just nevar want to dance
I wear a smile like clothes
Knowing it's what you'd rather see
This weight I carry is everything
Everything made just for ME.

Fresh Start

If time is not linear
what does that mean
with no start or end
Is there no between
is my past all ahead
my future in the rear
did I die last month
will I be born next year
does what I do matter
has fate already dealt my hand
and with no real challenges
where does a man take his stand
this is the challenge I face
as I awaken to my inner truth
the more I learned
the more I realized
how little I really knew.

Can You See Me

I hide in plane view
Can you see behind the smile
Everyone who meets me loves me
my mothers favorite child
Best employee on the team
everyone's best man
in truth they don't see me
and I know they never can
most days even I'm unaware
of who I really am
what I know for sure
is that I'm not a normal man
I don't need or want
hell I don't even care
I take what I want from life
that my meaning of fair.
one thing I know for sure
is I'm different from the norm
I see most people as sheep
I dance in the storm

Golden Rule

Today I saw God
It was such a wonderful sight
This darkness came over me
Along with pure delight
But this was not the God u know
You know the one from the book
This God talked to me direct
In a way that had me shook
No one else could hear
Not a single word said
All of a sudden I realised
God was in my head
Telling me stand tall
And give the world what for
Take every thing you need from man
And give back even more

Jamien

I wish i could be there
To watch you grow and grow
I wish i could be the man
The man you need to know
I wish i had the courage
To simply walk through the door
I wish i had the power
To make things as they were before
Sometimes when im alone
I see me and what ive done
A man just like his father
A father that left his son
This sight shakes me to my core
The foundation of what makes me me
Ill nevar be like that man
Ill nevar leave my seed
Those words echo through my mind
As i look at my current life
I mean point for point i left my son
And picked up another wife
Becoming father to anothers kid
And moving to a better house
Two dogs and a picket fence
Knowing not if JAMIEN had food in his mouth
I want to say they took you
Or he is in a better place
When truth be told it was just to painful
To painful to see her face
Around you there's always this light
And i know from where it came
It came from the one that lives within you
The one that gave you your name
This light so bright it hurts my eyes
And made tears fall from my face
Shinning light on all my failures
Primarely my failure to keep her safe.

Forgotten Memories

I was Abused as a child
Not the easiest thing to admit
I mean I'm a total adult
and when I say it I still feel like shit
Now I have to wonder
Did that shit color my life
Where all the fights as a kid
A kids way of trying to make shit right
Why didn't anyone help me
My mom she had to know
And why are these memories coming back now
Who decided I needed to know
Why didn't the memories stay buried
Now its all I see
Like a constant loop playing
the weakest version of me

Today I Left the Tunnel

Today I left the tunnel
A giant sigh of relief
Fresh air the weight is lifted
No more darkness surrounding me
I know its weird but I kind of miss it
There was something about the pain
No matter what changed in life
The pain stayed the same
The weight made my shoulders strong
Taught me to walk straight
The fear made me vigilant
And thankful for every day
So now all that is over
and though I feel relief
I kind of miss my personal tunnel
The coliseum that created ME.

America Has Fallen

Today my nation fell.
And i was there to witness the sight.
A world without America.
No one to fight the good fight.
No one to save the kids
No more pictures of space.
No more American Idol
No more amazing grace
No more worlds police.
No more humanitarian aid.
No more Apple or Google.
No more American Made.
Today american fell.
And I was there to witness the fight
A world without america
My word! what a sight
No more american soldiers
No more american ships
No more american planes
No more american fear.

Sickness

All sickness aint death
I know this to be true
Some sickness can be a blessing
Some sickness can improve
Some sickness can be a gateway
Out of a dull and pointless life
Some sickness can be the one thing
That attracts the perfect wife
Some sickness can bring a point of view
That lays the world bare
Some sickness can change a cloudy view
Into a breath of fresh air
