Once Shore Poem
A special little whale,
Born in the dark depths of the ocean.
An abnormality, random variable, first of its kind.
A soft blue blob,
Looking for a home.
Warm ocean currents with the softness of spring
The blooming corals of youth
The merpeople proposing with blinding seashells
The pleasant brilliance of the ocean exploding
A bomb of colour.
The baby whale's heart was sky blue and free.
It wailed in happiness for its bright future - 52Hz.
A soft blue blob,
Looking for a home.
Scorching fire from the equatorial waters
Taught it to survive in the harsh world.
It earnt its battle scars.
Yet, as always, it was alone.
The baby whale roared in anger
and perhaps,
on a more subconscious level,
loneliness - 52Hz
A soft blue blob,
Looking for a home.
Autumn, the season of heartbreak.
The dejected blob had grown older and more
forlorn.
The coral path of love,
Painted in the colours of the sunset.
A lively orange ending in a sad, coffee brown.
Sadness at 52Hz.
A soft blue blob,
Looking for a home.
The coldness from the northern ice caps
numbed the beating of its heart.
A monotonous life in black and white
- Mostly white.
It would have frozen its tear tracks
But then, can one really cry in an ocean?
... - 52Hz
Time had left behind a dejected blob.
Giving up, it let its weight drag its soul
down into the dark ocean floors from which it was born,
its eyes like the burning embers of coal.
That was when it saw
Another. :)

Once Shore Poem
Autumn is a flaming sky
of burgundy beauty
filled with orange leaves gently dancing
as they fall upon your heart
evoking bittersweet memories
composed with the dying embers of summer
and ending in the faultless taste of
savoury imperfection.

Once Shore Poem
I remember, the peachy maple leaves that fell like melting butter
painting the cold, grey ground into a dying red.
In ankle-high boots, I reached out for your
disappearing figure.
The festive candle-lights and cheeky children;
The couple on the bridge professing their love;
The stall owners smiling like cunning foxes, their tails wagging happily -
Everything, blended into a rainbow avalanche.
I remember, feeling my heart drop.
Drop past the cold pavements,
Drop past the earthen roots of the trees,
And into an expanse of nothingness.
I ran to catch up to your disappearing shadow...
I remember, a jade green river with golden fish.
Then there was you, surrounded by red lights.
Your hair glistened in the dark and on your face there was
a cheeky grin.
You stuck out your hand
And in that moment,
There was this moment,
of peace.
Firey orange lights flew up into the sky
Accompanied by the prayers of thousands,
As if they were the liberated souls of the decaying leaves.

Once Shore Poem
If you let go of your thoughts,
Forget reality - even for just a brief second -
You will realise that there was
nothing to begin with
and still,
nothing to this day.
Great paragons of knowledge
Left unacknowledged, become ordinary.
As for dreams and ambition -
their remnants shall wither away with the tides of time.
To shop or enjoy the view?
To accompany friends or relax by yourself?
To live like you're going to die or bow with caution to the wind?
Nothing, really, is of great importance.
The sky is a beautiful blue, the grass is a luscious green.
Since you are alive, you might as well make the most of it.
Growing from hardship and living in happiness.
Regardless of the alternatives, singing with passion.
Of course, this is just an opinion.
You can disagree,
The world can disagree,
and...
I don't care.

Once Shore Poem
Can you hear the echoes of the ocean -
The screams of the cooking pipi shells,
The sadness of 52 hertz whale,
The craziness of the king tides,
The eternal love of the cute little crabs?
A little piece of seaweed wants to scream
And yell
And tell the world it is happy.
It wants to push
And pull the tides of life;
Let itself melt into a luscious green.
It wants to fight,
Fly and swim- detaching from the sandy soils,
Letting the ocean currents lead it to paradise.
It wants to dominate,
Feel how it must be like to be a precious pearl,
Living in its exclusive, own shell
And warm itself in the ultimate happiness that is slumber.

Once Shore Poem
The dimly lit sky is everywhere.
An ocean of precious peach and cooling citrus,
Bright yellow splashes of cheesy happiness,
And a sparkling red jewel embedded in its drapes.
The avalanche of red warmth lavishly submerges the scenery into its
onsen perfection.
Sweetness like red bean,
and a tart tang of sour apple.
Gently awaiting the moon...
for the wick to blow
for the ink to dry
And the false sun to leave.
A branch droops.
A leaf falls.

Once Shore Poem
There are no clouds in the night sky.
The flute harmonizes with the zither only for a string to break.
A red bean bun and wine.
Slowly munching on the red bean bun, memories are revisited.
In a dazed mind -
People singing, laughing, dancing and celebrating,
but the person is alone.
A thick sweetness resides, where sour pangs make their way through one's heart.
There are no stars in the night sky.
A sword pierces through the heavens,
Towards extreme tribulation, yet the sky is still so clear.
The earth is grey.
The breeze brings with it the air of reminiscence.
A bright moon twinkles conspicuously in the night...

Once Shore Poem
I didn't know it rained today.
I was sheltered in a house
So I did not see
So I did not know
Were you thinking of me?
Were you sad?
I should have known.
I am a sheltered soul.
I could say sorry but I don't and I won't.
Am I sad
Or just contemplating?
'Sorry I did not see it rain today.
Sorry I was surrounded by heat.
Sorry I was enjoying the warmth while it was raining and cold outside.'
All of which I cannot say
Because I am not sorry.
Yet why do I feel so deflated?
My happiness opposes the rain.
The contradiction is stunning
And it feels wrong.
So am I sorry?
And sorry for what?
Sorry for the rain?!

Once Shore Poem
Longing of the east,
Passion of the west,
Sweet cherries and serene blossoms
- Cherry blossoms.
The sky is a devastating pink of allure.
Fire burns upon the golden horizon.
Her jade feet are poised for an elegant flick.
A gust of wind conveying power and authority
Buffetts the stage; The world loses its colour in an instant.
The hem of her jade dress drifts dreamily.
Monsoon season, silver dew and death to speech.
Flowers wilt in floods of envy.
The immortal appears to fly towards perfection.
Drink a drink.
Dream a dream.
Dance a dance.

Once Shore Poem
Howling at the sky,
Having killed thousands of trees,
The dark clouds recede.
