Beautiful Eyes

She was standing there…by my side
We were talking about...the blue sky’s
When she slowly turned her head
My heart already knew
When I looked into those…beautiful eyes!
She was more than, the woman standing there
Though her beauty was more than I could bare
I just wanted to cry, but I could not tell her why
When I looked into those, beautiful eyes!

I was feeling today would be eternity
When she turned her sweet face…and looked at me

Though I did not understand, nor knew how this would end
When I looked into those, beautiful eyes!

As she walked with me…along the ocean shore
I was feeling, there must be something more
And I found her beauty lies, with what she kept inside
When I looked into those, beautiful eyes!

I was feeling today would be eternity
When she turned her sweet face…and looked at me
Though I did not understand, nor knew how this would end
When I looked into those, beautiful eyes!

Shape of the Heart

The shape of a heart will change, not completely
But seasoned with the passage of time
Some will still love, but others will falter
But all say, it's so hard to find

The way, the walk, the road that one follows
The loving, the giving, the prize
If anyone says that their way was easy
Look close at their life for more lies!

Loving is work
And encompasses the soul
When the youthful years vanish
And the hearts turn old

The trials of a lifetime
memories...regrets
Hands held so tightly,
the mind soon forgets

The shape of a heart
will change, not completely
But seasoned with the passage of time
Some will still love, but others will falter
But all say, it's so hard to find....

When the Heart Is Open

When the heart is open
And truth is in the eye
The mind depletes emotion's grip
Seeking reasons why

Thinking now of only you
Remembering good and bad
Knowing that you felt the love
I gave you all I had

When all years have blossomed
An the future is but a light
When laying still, almost in dream
Facing a dark long night

When, oh when, try to recall
The time and place, the feel
Never say if only I, could make this again, real

It was good, it was very good
As I lay upon warm earth
The path, the road, the way I chose
Was it best...one never knows

With shallow breathe and moisten eyes
The flashes of life, pass by
The only peace that comforting
Is the infinite depth of the sky

Never Arriving

One can walk, a long way
Never...arriving
Spend the time of a long day
Watch the sun set low
Life..is elusive
Minutes... they just seem to fly
Time I think, just yesterday I wallowed in
My youth and my youthful energy
One can walk a long way, just to say goodbye

Feel the pain, and the "oh no's"
Thinking things were bound to change
People saying, oh there she goes!
Never knowing what's rearranged
Life is elusive
Minutes... they just seem to fly
Time I think, just yesterday I wallowed in
My youth and my youthful energy
One can walk a long way, to say goodbye

Living life, the wrong ways
Hoping for...tomorrows
Winter's colors, the soft grays
Resembling all my sorrows
Life is elusive
Minutes... they just seem to fly
Time I think, just yesterday I wallowed in
My youth and my youthful energy
One can walk a long way,
One can walk a long way,
One can walk a long way..to say goodbye

On My Way To Life

You served a very special time in my life
I needed you then more than you realized
You gave me strength and hope as I grew
You expressed your love openly

I drew you in, as though my last breathe
I lived on your smile...your presence was as nourishment
Your touch seemed as stroking the flames of a fire
Love abounded in my heart and head

Each day was dependent on thoughts of you
In time, we changed and became independent
No longer focused on each other
Life itself, became a distraction

We move apart sharing an emptiness
With only memories to fill the void
You became you...we both grew
Never really saying good bye...
