Lisa Depascalis Poem
My emotions are like the ocean.
At times they're like the moon shimmering on the still water at night. Other times they rage like the waves of a storm surging and crashing to the beach.

Lisa Depascalis Poem
Fog hovers over the meadow. It’s beauty blurred and faint. The trees barely visible through this blanket of darkness. If only the wind would blow and reveal the flowers that long to be seen. Or the sun would pierce with all it’s might through the haze. Even the birds sit motionless fearing their own song. Does the meadow know the fog will clear? Or does it stay in this void waiting for it’s own death.

Lisa Depascalis Poem
There's no simple fix
For the true broken heart
You always distrust them
Right from the start
Feeling the pressure
To prove you are more
Than smiles and emojis
You're loves' to the core.

Lisa Depascalis Poem
I need you
I want you
Words often spoke
I miss you
I love you
Such lies we invoke
I hate you
I can’t breathe
With anger just go
I don’t need
I don’t want
Your promise of hope.

Lisa Depascalis Poem
Collections of memories
Stream through my head
The laughter
The tears
Conversations never dead
I love you’s were plentiful
Hugs just because
Sad times
Mad times
Years of joy my heart was fed
Remembering these moments
Brings tears to my face
Missing my children
Abroad from this home space.
