Just Another Day.

"Just Another Day"
B. Jacobs

Verse 1: Simple as I may be, I still see you in my daydreams
Would you please open your eyes?
Fragile as it could seem, you still see her and don't see me
And here I am, trying to get by.

After all I've been through
You'd think I'd have it down
But it cuts me to the core...need I say more?

Chorus: I'll walk in her shadow forever
If it keeps me in your mind.
I'll be the one you want just for fun
I'll be so happy just to have your time.
Can't you hear me crying...begging...pleading for this to arise?
Just another day of my worthless life.

Verse 2: Sick of this, as I may be, I still can't get you out of my daydreams.
Slamming my head against the wall for some sanity...
Pathetic, yeah, I might be
But look at you, do you call that happy?
And I'm the one scrounging for my dignity.

After all she's put you through
You'd think you would have walked away
But you still bow down at her feet.....please.

CHORUS

Bridge: So much to say, so much to do
If you walk away, what will you lose?
A sorry excuse for love...a hopeless lie of trust.
And I'll be here, a shard of glass in the rough.

CHORUS

Heather.

I hope that when you get in that car
You think of what you said to me
How grateful you truly are
And that you'd make it up to me.

Well, here it is, more than a week
No mail, no call, no texts.
And all of this only because of
A favor from your ex.

I'm not asking you to love me.
I'm not asking for that to end.
All I want, is for you to be
A true, genuine friend.

It's sick that when she's not around,
You can only reach out to me.
Is she truly than unsound
With her identity?

I'm not saying it should be me
But you deserve much better.
7 years, you still can't see.
ANYTHING is better, than Heather.

Sacrificial Suicide

Sacrificial Suicide
B. Jacobs

Verse 1: People float on by in the wind as I wonder why
I put my heart on the line
No matter what they lie to me and want me to be
Whatever I hate about me

Hook: And the night closes in around me
And the shadows on the wall surround me

Chorus: If you're trying to break me, I'm broken
If you're trying to sedate me, my eyes will never open
If you want to sacrifice me, I'd give up my breath tonight
I'd give you my life

Verse 2: Forgive me for what I do
I don't mean to feel this way, can't help loving you
Every morning I wake, you're the first breath I take
As my heart breaks

...hook/chorus...

Bridge: I haven't been able to tell you the way I feel
I'm sorry that I can't be free
And let you know that you're all I see
You're all I want to believe

...hook/chorus...

Everytime I'M Thinking of You...

Every Time I'm Thinking Of You
B. Jacobs

Verse 1: God, get me out of here
There is no air
I'm sinking slowly
How I wish I could disappear
See my blank stare
See me falling

Love is blind and all I can see
Is everything in front of me
All I want, all I need
Is to hear you say that

Chorus: You feel the same way that I do
You want me more than I do you
But you're so confused.
I know I'm not good enough, but I'm forced to believe
That every time I'm thinking of you
You're thinking of me

Verse 2: Lord, give me one more chance
Tell me I'm not crazy
For feeling this way
Never thought this feeling would last
I may be losing it baby
But I'm OK

Love is blind and all I can see
Is all of the signs you put in front of me
All I want, all I need
Is to hear you say that

CHORUS

Bridge: Carried this on my shoulders
Every year, I'm older
The pain gets more intense
And now everyone around me
Thinks you feel the same way
But how can I believe
When all I get is ignorance?

If You Only Knew.

If You Only Knew
B. Jacobs
8-19-08

Verse 1: Bent and broken
I fake a smile so you can't see through me
I've always been able
To act like nothing's wrong

You said it yourself
That the pain was not worth taking
And as usual
I pull you through

Chorus: Did it ever occur to you
That maybe someone else might see you
As everything that they could possibly want and need
I won't just stand there
On the sidelines, if what I'm feeling is a crime
Then lock me up and throw away the key

Verse 2: Torn and fragile
Every night the same damned dream haunts me
And I'm trapped in my head, refusing to wake up

Swept under the rug
Only good enough when she's not feeling
Half of the feelings she's supposed to feel

CHORUS

Bridge: I'm not asking for much, just an awakening
I've been here for all this time, with nothing to take from it
Over and over again
The redundancies still beckon
And you'll never listen to yourself
If you can't take, why must you fake it
I'm pouring my heart out with not much left to spare
If you only knew...if you only knew...

CHORUS

Murdered

"Murdered"
B. Jacobs

Well, you've got me by the throat.
And I don't want you to let go.
I thought I knew who you really were.
And now everything is a such a blur.

I breathed you in, I let you out
I found the end, couldn't find my way out
I've tasted blood, and I want more
I've come undone, I've been torn
Let me bleed
You've already murdered me.

You've stabbed me, with your lies.
And every second, I die inside.
You know exactly, what you do.
But I can't walk away from you.

Go ahead and strangle me, I'll let you do it.
Beat me, degrade me...I'm used to it.
I'll be your slave, I'll be your life if it keeps me alive.

Tough

"Tough"

Don't touch me, don't love me.
Don't dig in, don't begin.
Usually, I'm lost and found,
Lying on the ground, you put me there.
Now you better beware.

You've never seen me act this way, have you?
Come what may, you---

Never underestimate the power of a woman.
Never think that we're not strong enough.

Don't look now, don't ask how.
I warned you, you would lose.
Normally I'm the one in pieces,
Now I'm on my feet, and you're alone.
How's it feel on your own?

Never underestimate the power of a woman.
Never think that we're not strong enough.
Don't you ever think that you know all there is to know about us.
We can be tough, tougher than you.

Little one, you act so meek.
It's over and done, forget about me.
I told you once, and you should have listened.
Now look at what you're missing.

Something's Got To Give

"Something's Got to Give"
B. Jacobs

 Everyday, something else goes wrong
I fear and wonder how can I go on
I live in a world of disappointment
Nothing ever seems to go away
Just another habit I got to break
Guess it's time for the pity to join in

  Something's got to give
Before I give up, before I give in
Sick of crying and all of the pain
That won't go away, another headache
When is it my time to win?
Something's got to give.

 I give everyone my advice
It's time I realized
That it's time to listen to myself
Work and work, and barely see a dime
When will it be time
To check out of this hell?

 I'm praying-I'm begging
I can't take it anymore.
I'm waiting-anticipating
To give my little...and for once get back more.
