Fruitful Nights In Kidapawan

In our city at night,
One can see glowing lights,
And many busy vehicles,
Slowly moving through the streets.

Delicious barbecues for dinner,
The sizzling sounds are such a winner,
The aroma of meat makes us hungry,
And we crave it all, tender and yummy.

In our city, you can wander,
And find sights that make you ponder,
The streets are safe and secure,
With the presence of authorities, for sure.

Nestled in the heart of Mindanao,
A city where bounty never stops to flow,
From durian, pomelo, to mango,
A foodie paradise, it's hard to let go.

Kidapawan is the name,
A city of fruits that has earned its fame,
Known for its tropical treats,
Where the flavors of sweet fruits can't be beat.

Kidapawan is a gem of a city,
With natural wonders and culture aplenty,
A destination worth your time and stay,
Come and experience Kidapawan today!

Make Your Own Way

Make your Own Way

Can you stand alone and be strong?
Can you make your choices all along?
I know you're full-grown and wise,
To make decisions that are nice."

But it seems like you’re not happy
Seeing someone’s victory
When others achieve and find success
You feel left behind and under duress

Imagine a horse racing in a game
It needs speed just to win
See how tired this kind of competition
If you depend on others situation.

Living in this world is not a race
And each one has their own unique pace
Comparing yourself will only bring pain
And hinder your progress, in vain

Don't envy others' achievements,
Because God gave us diverse talents.
Don't covet what other people have
Instead, salute them with all your heart.

A successful person doesn’t envy
But fashion his best effort and way
Let them be your inspiration
As you strive to fulfill your ambition

A Mentor's Inspiration

A Mentor's Inspiration
By: Shyane A. Roa

I stayed in your womb for nine months
You suffered difficulties every second
Your pregnancy stage was misery
But you were able to deliver me cautiously

Now you're raising me as a healthy baby,
Until I turned into a responsible lady.
You never forget to guide me,
In doing the right things every day.

Waking up early was your daily routine,
Just to organize my personal belongings.
Wherever I am, whatever I do,
You've always been with me to ensure my safety.

Mama, you're the master of every task,
Thank you for giving me all that I ask.
I always prayed to God to repay your kindness,
Fortunately, He quickly granted my wishes.

So, when God gave me the chance to pursue a degree,
I seized the opportunity to study diligently.
Because I knew it was your ambition,
That someday I'll be holding my degree in education.

Mama, now I'm standing with pride and honor,
For reaping the fruits of your labor.
I am now a licensed mentor,
Ready to teach the children with love and fervor.

The Hardest Goodbye

The Hardest Goodbye

Goodbye is the hardest word for me
The line I hated to say
But I never wished to encounter this someday
Because I couldn’t imagine my life if you were away

But then time is so playful my dear
That one day you disappeared
No one knew where to find you
Until one day became a year

I felt crazy for keeping you searching
Because you left me with nothing
How I wish I had the power
To locate you anywhere

Hours, days, months and years passed
I was able to let go of my past
I accepted that the man I loved before
Is not Mr. Right nor my forever

Now, I have been able to move on
Facing life without you
I can now completely say
My hardest goodbye to you…….

Dear Learners

At school, I'm like your second mom,
A nanny when you need a hand.
From Monday morning until Friday
I'll always defend your safety.

In a classroom filled with many of your peers,
Each with unique personalities and ways to steer,
I teach all of you throughout the day,
Helping you to learn, study, and play.

But it seems my teaching is not enough,
As many of you talk too much and make it tough.
The room is filled with different voices,
Talking nonsense and making poor choices.

I enforce strict discipline in the class,
So that each one of you can pass.
But when I simply scold you for misbehaving,
It upsets your parents and gets them raving.

Dear learners, do not be upset,
My corrections are made with love, I bet.
Just like my own son Kiefer,
All of you are so very dear.

To the parents, your child is dear like mine,
Together, let's help them truly shine,
With good behavior and quality education,
We'll ensure their success and future foundation.

Sculptured By Poorness

SCULPTURED BY POORNESS
by Shyane A. Roa

One scratch, one peck as they fondly call me,
I am seen as nobody in the community
Yes, I am a beggar in the street
I am a woman who wears a dirty outfit

I work during the day and study at night
Hoping to have a future that was so bright
But the way I acted was unpleasant to many
They really hated my personality

Every day I am begging for food to live
I became a servant just to survive
No one can dim my clear and bright visions
Because this is me, with a strong determination

I can endure life, no matter how tough
Even they hated me I will continue my journey
Rejection is my inspiration
Obstacle is my key to build my ambition

As of now, it’s my dream to have my career,
I am proud that once I became a pauper,
Because I was molded to become resilient
And face life with joy and merriment
