Demons Till Theres Light

As I lay in my bed and fight the feeling of being alone,
I await the morning that will bring with it the magic tone.

The birds start singing and the light begins to glow,
For the night is nearly over and my demons have to go.

Another night has passed and I see in the new day,
For I have made it through and my body did not stray.

My nightmares can no longer torture my subconscious mind,
For the shadows of the night are gone and I re-join mankind.

I am now free to be awake and shake off what was lurking in my head,
I made it through the night the demons lost and I’m not dead.

Shadow Battle

Darkness brings the shadows
Daylight brings them too
There is nowhere to hide
When the shadows inside of you

The shadows never listen
Just cast doubt over me
I fear this is a battle
No one else can see

Forever reaching into darkness
Means I never see
Good or bad I cannot tell
The shadows own me

The glimpse of light I thought I saw
Was coming from so far
I worked and fought so very hard
To reach another closed door

Fighting everyday
This battle in my head
The war is never over
Until I end up dead

My Hearts Black Hole

For the months went by when all I wanted was to know,
Did you have the same feelings to make some love grow.

We took lots of time to see what we wanted,
You made the first move and we were undaunted.

The time we spent felt like I was in heaven,
I knew very fast that I was going to ask you the question.

Something went wrong and you made the decision,
To end what we had and destroy my vision.

I went from being your first choice to being your last thought,
The words that weren’t said have left me distraught.

Now as each day passes and time grows longer,
Not seeing you daily makes my mind wander.

I love and miss you so much yet you ignore my advances,
Guess that was my last chance at any romances.

Speeds of Time

Enjoy the time we had together as time runs out at different speeds,
For each of us the path is drawn yet neither knows where it leads.

A decision made on left or right is something that was had,
While yours was good and filled with joy, mine just made me sad.

The thought of choice is one big joke as time comes to a close,
My mind is gone and dark I see for soon I will decompose.

My Dad, My Friend, My Hero

At first you were my Dad who watched me enter the world.
You looked and loved and instantly cared, as I lay there all curled.

As I grow so did you and our bound did too.
You were now my dad and my friend as I grew.

I watched and learned and not always listened,
But you stood by me and watched as I glistened.

You may never have known because I told you zero,
But you have always been my hero.

My Dad, My Friend, My Hero
