Token of Regret

Sparks fly, flames ignite
intoxicated passion
follies of greenness.

Haste vows in wishes
rapid change adaptation
birth of an angel.

Smoldered brawl outburst
pen scribbles by gavel's call
Fire sizzles then drown.

Comes winter anew
tears of the lonely angel
token of regret

(This is my first time writing a Haiku poem. It is raw and lack shine, but hope you guys will enjoy.)

Ignore Safety Rules (I Mean Don'T)

Don’t take chances and ignore safety rules
For you may end up looking just like fools.
Keep yourself safe and do stay alert
Don’t leave in two pieces and your family hurt.

Wear your goggles as though they’re your part-of
You won’t want to miss seeing all that you love.
And please don’t put them on your forehead
They’re supposed to protect your eyes; not head!

Choose your tools properly and use with care
You don’t want them to be flying everywhere.
And don’t forget to put on your hard hat
Lest a flying tool knocks you silly and flat.

Remember to protect those precious hands of yours
You still need them for the many years of chores.
It’s not like you can change them should they tear
But you can change the wrecked gloves that you wear.

Donning PPE might be troublesome
And they don’t also make you look handsome
You might feel like an alien coming from mars
But well... they protect you from all those scars.

Disappointment

Stark disappointment brings silly distress..
That which even tears and trash can't repress..

Happy Birthday

That day, you were born and given a name
That day, it was your turn to play that game
Today, It's time to celebrate that day
Today, I wish you a Happy Birthday

Remember the Day

Remember the day when conversation strikes
Between the two of us for the very first time
Back then, I had no inkling of your likes
The way you know not of my love for lime

Remember the day when you first called me
I picked up the phone at the very first ring
We chatted freely from the trees to the sea
And together this ballad we start to sing

Remember the day when I'm asked to be your girl
I was blushing and grinning from ear to ear
Till now, you are still as precious as the pearl
Just like the first day we dated last year

Remember this special day of the many few
When I tell you just how much I Love You!

Friends Forever

I really appreciate what you give to me
To my smile and my shine, your precious key
Once when I never seemed to care
My nonchalance you still tried to bear

I saw the who aren’t and who are
Only too late, hence the scar
Opposite attracts and so I see
Yet nothing really seems to agree

The grapevine growth might never halt
But together I know we can vault
Hardest I try to show the bond
Thank you for showing me your response

This time round I’ll be there for you
The way you’re there when I am blue
The nonchalance I give will soon be lost
Friends Forever - I’m getting this across.

Don'T Judge

Don't judge me if you do know zip
For facts are dressed from toe to tip
My recital you never try to read
Thence blinded and hurt by the blood they bleed.

Your animadversion plant it please
For no man is perfect or so you'll see
Why marred that angelic mug of yours?
And force to you my want to deplores?

All of us writes but a different story
Filling each with countless shame and glory
You see but an impression of my looks
And speaks to but a version of my books.

So don't judge me if you do know zip
Since bad karma might seek your lips
My recital you should try to read
Flaw lies in blood that we players feed.

Martyrdom

Dark and mysterious
-- You are my greatest fear
Rapt and enshrouded
-- There's nothing I can hear

Penetrating intersection exuding me dry
Excruciating pain.. Oh! How I beg for peace..
Can you see my tears? They dried as I cry
My clock is fading so, can I at last be at ease?

Me and You

Things have changed and so have you..
They ain't the same, the things we knew..
If in seasons could I retrograde,
Many a thing today wouldn't have fade..

When one gets locked, the other comes free..
Yet my blues had failed me to see..
They're mistakes I have to learn,
Instead, refusal wishes that they be burnt..

I'm sorry, it's you I've failed..
But naught could change the things we've veiled..
The we they know is but our mirror;
The true reflection is what that's clearer..

If things have stayed and so have you..
They'll be the same, the things they knew..
We'll walk in light; stay as dear,
And many a thing today would still be here..

Yesterday's Feelings

I wonder if you ever view
That panorama that I drew
But I doubt you even ever did
you’re in a world I so forbid

Blinded and tainted by yellow
The pique to all you bellow
By the stars will the wild card
led to this gash - so scarred!

I sew, I mend, I tried to save
But yet you chose to dig that grave
Buried in time our tears and joy
Over something jokingly toy

To you I named Yesterday’s Feelings
Here’s the gun I give to your healings
Sorry couldn’t mend your broken heart
So goodbye and here I shall depart.
