Naked

An armor I wore
The day I met you
That metal, I no longer bore
I was naked

Tender touches undressed
Fleeting glances across the room
I constantly craved your caress

I bared my soul
You dropped my hand
My blood turned to ice
I just couldn't understand

Upside down smile
Painted on my face
The gray room
Has become a familiar place

That amour I once wore
Has now been replaced
I am no longer naked
I've already forgotten your face

A wall has built
It surrounds my whole being
Making it impossible for any sort of feeling

I am colder now
My eyes glaze frost
Misery and pain
Are all but lost

The Storm

Shes hanging by a string
The storm is lurking
Right around the corner
 The darkness waits
Ready to carry her away
This time
She wont be coming back

There’s only so much
One can take
Before exhaustion sets in
And the dark, wins.

Over and over again
She’s tried
Over and over again
She’s been left
And over and over again
She’s alone again.

So alone it hurts
So hurt, she’s scared
So scared, she’s frozen
So frozen, she’s numb
So numb, she’s alone.

She’s moving closer to the storm
The darkness
Has become a familiar place
She knows, wants to move towards the light
But the storms familiar arms pull her forth
She takes one last look at the sun
Knowing, she doesn't belong there anyway.

Fear of Loss

Just when I thought I had conquered the pain
Fear steps in again
Taking hold the reigns

My vision's clouded
Nothing's undoubted
Emotionally imprisoned
I'm starting to feel
 Like I'm going insane

Black to white
Joy to fright
There's just no gray for me

My fear of loss
All encompassing me
Wrapping me up in dark

I don't want to lose
But how can I gain?
I can't let anyone in
Or let things just be
Stuck in this circle
I'm aching to be free.

Angel Face

Angel face
With a broken soul
She stands alone
Though nobody knows

She's a fighter by nurture
Never given the choice
Her shield and sword
Stay close to her heart
Saving her
From falling apart

Her beautiful shell
Keeps her protected
She'll do whatever it takes
To remain unaffected

To never have had
Is better than to have lost
She'll stay in her glass case
Never missing love's taste.

Change of Heart

From our very first moments
Everything was bliss
I thought, this could never happen to me
Until our first kiss

Perfect days we spent together till night,
You never let me go
And I held on so tight

Was it because I knew
Those feelings would fade away?

Things sizzled then fizzled
So heartbreakingly fast

A whirlwind romance I never believed existed
My heart so up then down
Suffered an attack

My insides feel broken
Everything's turned upside down

Will I ever recover from this sudden change of heart?
