My Love Is Like An Ocean

My love is like an ocean
so vast and mysteriously deep
given by me like a potion
to forever treasure and keep

My love is like an ocean
so beautifully natural and so pure
expressed through amorous emotion
my love is a disease which has no cure

My love is like an ocean
salty yet bitter-sweet
waves of love forever in motion
the ending beach we will never meet

My love is like an ocean
flourishing with life
with its occaisional commotion
yet never too much strife

My love is like an ocean 
never to diminish
to forever flow on with devotion

Just how much you mean to me
In words I can never say
My feelings for you grow
Each beautiful new day

Just how much you mean to me
This poem could never show
For now Its Just an easy start
I Just want to make sure you know

Just how much you mean to me
Whether near or miles apart
I'll remember you forever more
And you'll always be in my heart

Time will hopefully tell
How long will I be able to keep you
Under my binding spell?

New Perspective

A new chapter to begin
while the rest is left to burn
finding the strength from deep within
to reach the point of no return

There is no looking behind
just ahead for what's in store
to past failures I will be blind
to future success an open door

Blocking out previous pains
replacing darkness with the light
anticipating future gains
all my wrongs transformed to right

Remembering this new objective
drawing from it inspiration
forgetting my previous perspective 
savoring my acknowledged salvation

If Only

If only you could stay true
and not hurt me the way you do
if only i'd listened to what i'd been told
and my heart held on with a stronger hold

If only you had talked to me
then together is what we'd still be
if only my heart was able to heal
and the pain i feel wouldn't be so real

If only the miles weren't what kept us apart
and a brand new beginning we could start
if only we could have made it through
and the loss of you isn't what it had to come to

If only we could have held on longer
then our relationship now would be stronger
if only this could be a bad dream
then that much better it would seem

If only you'd have at least told me why
i could have spent less time trying not to cry
but in the end this is how you chose it to be
So don't even try coming back to me

I'M Sorry

I'm sorry for the pain I caused
and the words I didn't mean
I truly am very thankful
and not as ungrateful as I may seem

I'm sorry for the things I said
and the way you probably felt
sorry In advance
for my actions not yet dealt

I'm sorry for all the tears you cried
and all the tears to be
all the future agony 
that might be caused by me

I'm sorry for all I've ever done
and all that there might be
I've written this poem to apologize
and I hope you can forgive me

Standing on the side
watching you move away
severing bonds once tied
no longer will you stay

Here I stand alone
I can count on you no more
you've spread your wings and flown
gone up and out the door

No longer here beside me
but happy In your new place

That makes my spirit soar
I feel like Im on a roller coaster

Yellow

Yellow is the color
of the suns shining ray
yellow is the beak
of a soaring blue jay

A spark of yellow 
as the sun sinks away
naturally preparing 
for a brand new day

Yellow is the tip 
of a raging fire
like the sweetness in candy
which all kids desire

Listen to the yellow kite
flap in the air
creating a scene 
for all to stare

Yellow can make anything
turn bright
letting it shine through
with a glowing light

Losing

When my song has lost Its' voice
and my eyes have lost their light
I see no other choice
than to put an end to this worthless fight

My motivation has gone astray
and my wills been buried deep
how much longer can I stay?
the hill has gotten too steep

My soul has lost Its' strength
and my rose has lost Its' petals
I feel I've reached the ending length
that's where my story settles

My path has lost Its' direction
and my butterfly has lost Its' wings
Im overtaken by a deadly infection
my heart no longer sings..

You are the brightest flame
burning from deep within me
igniting fires I cannot tame
branding my heart so deeply

You are the brightest flame
searing me to the core
your presence you have proclaimed
promising now and forever more

smothering away my fears
never before you came
had I allowed anyone so near

You are the brightest flame
enticing my like no other
I hope forever your promise remains
you are the flame I will not smother
