Stifling Virtues

Sacrifice and selflessness they taught,
Withering feathers kept yearning for the sky,
Values with the soul, fought!

Wierd Gray Sage

Concrete jungles, mechanic life,
Work, earn, every day we strive!
Seizing me from the normal realms,
Away, you fly me to the valley of elms!
Weird gray sage,
Every time you amaze!
I’ve jumped from mountains top,
With wolves I've hopped!
Have leapt in the deep of sea,
What wondrous creatures you made me see!
Weird gray sage,
Every time you amaze!
You've jumbled the sequence of thought,
Swapped faces, of people of all sought!
Changed events of the stored days,
Switched lines of what people say!
Rehearsed and delivered my alternate speech,
At those moments I missed to speak!
Weird gray sage,
Every time you amaze!
Been a superhero with shield and sword,
Saved the world from evil bad lords!
With the known I've sung and danced,
My Heroic's gathered the world's applaud!
Weird gray sage,
Every time you amaze!

Hiding from the daily chores,
Sitting at the woven shores!
Shutting the real, to enter the maze,
Let's open a new page,
What's today to amaze!

Mark Remains

Injured deep,
Inflictor applies ointment,
Still marks' for long!

Shimmering Calm

Storm came, clouds thundered;
Ripples in water, shimmered to calm,
As sun peeped after!

Two Friends

Tiredness seeps slowly away,
As night caresses after a hard day!
Warm and bright,
Day soothes the pains from night!
Two friends, ones' hard, other delight!

Smoked Surprise

Smoked Surprise!

Basking in new found love, just like a pair of swans,
To sweep him off with her delish delight was the plan!
Baking, making, waiting,
Din’t know when went dozing!
She bolted in a cloud of smoke and at the door was a fireman!

They Lost Again

Watches sleep all keen,
Seven soft pillows, feathery sheet clean,
Eyes yet fixated on screen!

The Lost Thought

THE LOST THOUGHT

Weighing the cons and pros, I prepare the argument, all aspects considered, all answers ready, let "them", just start off!
Here's an idea, to prove to be the enlightened one, worth some famous philosopher's book, here I was all set to give a sermon on life, there the subject changed over a cough!

Somewhere the wise mind was stacking these precious lessons and sermons, those brilliant monologues, enlightening ideas, sometimes even a clever answer which missed its chance!
Waiting for a next time, they start surfacing at random, "eureka" at work, first bite at lunch, while shaking a leg at dance!

Starting to diminish, somewhere in the bottom of the mind's mine; a familiarity, a similarity triggers the senses deep, there erupts the lava of "Déjà vu"; whose occurrences was "ought";
Here's tribute to those lost thoughts!

Broken

Harsh exchange,
Reconciliation,she faked a smile,
Something was broken!

First Date

Post a few calls and some chats,
across the table they sat!
Calmly sipping coffee, and making small talk!
Witty in her writings, open in thought,
there she sat with occasional glances and a big blush!
He was the outgoing one,
ice was broken, but how to deal with the warmth!
A few chairs away a group of teens hung around,
Noise to her, Enthusiasm to him, the conversation spun!
Music apart, colors in contrast, a combination of sweet and sour!
They were strangers, so different apart!
Yet she calmed his tempers, her presence soothed him in a way,
Intriguing and adventurous, he made her sway!
He tried her Latte, she grimaced at the sip from his dark,
He liked the sweetness, she liked the hang of the dark!
A new flavor brewed at the cafe!
