Purple Pansy

Out of all of the flowers a garden could ever grow,
He reminds me of a purple pansy,
purple for his compassionate personality,
the yellow pop for his positivity,
each petal for his layers of kindness,
All of which I have discovered.
And even today, I carry my purple pansy with me. Right next to my heart.

I Am

I've heard the birds chirp for a while now,
seen the rain fall for ages,
tried all the food there is,
been to different countries,
yet still the one thing that isn't known to me is me.
I've never heard myself,
I've only listened what others have to say.
The only thing I've ever seen is my relfection.
Who am I to say who I am?

Grateful

My nothing is your everything,
but that's so hard for me to believe,
I'm trying to find the strength to be grateful,
when all I see is negative in a world someone sees painted positive.
