The Fork In the Road

As I glide down the road of life
Every thought and feeling 
Piercing my soul
Remembering every choice 
Decision 
Based upon emotion and love
Looking ahead each time
And never seeing the direction
Clearly 
Basing it all on faith and hope
Then it was there in front of me
The fork in the road
Silently praying that I will know
Which direction I should go
As I step forward 
Taking the path that I feel my
Heart has always known
As emotions pull me forward 
Down that path I go but
Looking back for that Fork 
That has now disappeared
