Oh, Calamity

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned,
of thigh-high socks and bobby pins.
Now strewn about, we kiss discreet,
with pounding hearts, our bodies meet!

Our love forbidden; a cold fire - it burns,
within my breast as my stomach turns,
Blasphemy, Sin! Of this I am full.
Guilty! Yet, still at your body I pull.

Convince me now that my sins have worth.
Can I trust you won’t shatter me, cast me aside?
Can I open my heart and have you as my first?
Can I believe you will not twist the knife in my side?

Oh Calamity, damned as I am, right damned.
I sat there crying as the door slammed,
behind you; you're leaving... alone, here I lay.
Left behind, thrown away, your toy for the day.

With a sigh of resignation, I wipe tears from my eyes.
There's no justifying her actions, her lies!
Begone! Get thee behind me you whore!
I stand up and place my hand to the door...

But I never make it, my heart heavy has grown.
I have achieved this destruction all on my own.
"I'll never forget you.." I heard her prose...
as my eyes, heavy lidded... begin to close.

My last breath escapes me into the night.
I feel no elation, no horror, no fright.
A small voice in the dark; a phrase to be heard:
"I'll never forget you, " I echo her words.

Say Yes

On a distant night in another world,
The circumstance to become your girl,
Didn't hit hard like a hurricane,
Followed by the rush of the pouring rain.

That washes away my soul, now lost.
Your tongue like a nightmare, your words: frost.
Feeling the barbed demon of your feelings,
I lost control of my ambition, consciousness reeling.

Nothing matters more, nothing else will.
Make me feel alive, just your arms 'till,
The morning sky lights up my room.
What will it take for you to, "Say yes" Kaylee?

Long walks late at night,
Your fingertips in the firelight.
We shouted so the world could know.
There was no doubting it.

You rocked my world for another night.
Was it just a one-night invite?
Could it be a love so misconstrued?
We hadn't hit our prime yet.

All alone now without you here.
Thought about you for another year.
The one thing still remains,
The morning sun on my window pane.

Bring me back to the one time.
When I was the first, not the last in line.
What will it take? What will it cost?
To get you back; to hear you, "Say yes" Kaylee?

Holly Would You

Hollywood you say I’m hot and sexy?
Can you look me in the eye and let me know?
If I can turn the trick, you let me.
Or will you just tell me to go?

You had the listing, so, I go - I apply.
You let me talk and go on and on.
In-N-Out; I laugh, I cry.
Hollywood you turn me on?

Model, I model all through the night,
That night, one time, I stayed.
Hollywood you burn me bright?
My heart and head got played.

Here’s my heart, written on a napkin - trash.
Use me, abuse me, and throw me away.
You’re so vain, so selfish, so rash.
Hollywood you go away!

Hollywood, you leave me alone?
No, you’ll never come out on top.
Hollywood you ever atone?
Hollywood you stop?
