Cupid Knows Not Compatibility

They call me a pedophile
They accuse me of witchcraft
Allegedly I'm a wizard,I lie with tokoloshes.
My feats they refuse to acknowledge
For they are works of "luck" not my might.
Apparently I know where leprechauns are found
The prognosis for such
Is simply that I tower six feet
Whilst my girl is only a few inches off of three
.........mmm perhaps they speak the truth
Numbers don't lie ,do they?.

In Zulu mythology, Tokoloshe is a dwarf-like water sprite. It is considered a mischievous and evil spirit that can become invisible by drinking water. Tokoloshes are called upon by malevolent people to cause trouble for others.

Love Sick,Chronically

...............pluck,she loves me
Pluck,She loves me not
Pluck,She loves me
A single petal on the daisy is left untouched."fluck!!"
Admant that a third time should be a charm
He curbs the rules a bit
.....Pluck,she loves me a lots!
His stoney face cracks up with a smile
And eyes starts emitting rays of joy
A frown decorating his countenance a few moments ago
Dissipates and disappear
He refuses to hearken to the voice of fate
The Voice of fate echoed by her words
The words "I'm sorry ,we just wouldn't work "
And tunes his brain to think only how they are meant to be
How there is no other outcome save for that possibility.
He would chase that wind for the rest of his life.
Never catching it

The Taming of the Shrew

I once fancied myself a petruchio
And set out to tame myself a shrew
There existed a Katherina.
A dame beautiful but crazy and wild
Admired by every eye
Yet none willing to get acquainted with her
For her nature, the very repugnance of meek and
mild
Amplified.
"Poltroons,behold ye buffoons
See me subdue this wilful, mean spirited raging bull
"said I.
Somebody should have told me a mere man can't
turn water into wine
The tactic:beat her at her own game.
The antic,however good in theory
In practice was quite ineffective
When she hollered,I hollered
But soon,my throat sore
I would have to give up
And watch her go on and on.
She seemed to last forever.
Her tantrums,
From the start I surrendered the hope of matching .
For she threw them with such love and passion
That any attempt would have been like trying to
fire up a piece to the degree of the sun.
It just can't be done.
Now call me a sore loser
But I maintain:if only she wasn't a black
woman..............had she not been black......maybe

Brother Where Art Thou

Have you ever watched a loved one die
Have you ever wished a loved one rather really died
To witness the one you knew in his might slowly become an enervated zombie
It is heart wrenching.

A miniature Atlas I esteemed his world high
Held it up to where it touched lips with the sky
Godlike in my eyes
He was devine,majestic,cool
Celestial,I looked up to him
His capabilities ran infinite
It was the saddest to find out one day that the one I thought could do no wrong, erred.
It is a must that we all eventually come to a revelation that all our idols are mere men of flesh
But to have them fall and shatter to pieces of rock
It is traumatising to a boy
God couldn't you have spared me the same fate
Stumbling in through the doors late in the nights
Eyes red
Reeking of alcohol
Rambling on
All pathetic
Tragic
I swear the sight of you in a coffin could have scarred me less
Where is the person I knew
You are here but not really

Mama Will Live Forever

I can imagine anybody dying,
I can attach and sew like a cloth
Any face to a lifeless corpse
Except that of my mama
I try to picture her gone
My brain slips into darkness
And thought ceases
Until my ears hear her sweet voice again
Its true, death is our common fate
A destiny we all share
It is not hunger to terrorize only the poor
But a spear swift to pierce even palace doors
But my mama who has always been there
To just one day dissapear into a crack in the earth....
Lord take me
It can never be
It would never be
Mama will live forever
