Meditation

Meditation sweeps my thoughts away
Be at peace to face them another day
Floating away like clouds in the sky
I smile as my minds waves goodbye

Colours of rainbow flow
Across my eyes & through my soul
Eyes focused on colours, shades and shapes
My private northern lights on display

No thoughts on time and place
Senses smooth to a slower pace
The bubble around is now still
With positive energy it is now filled

Carboot

Whether selling or buying
It's freezing so cold
Promise of warmth beckons
But finger tips & toes gone

Sitting here, like an item on a shelf
Waiting to be noticed and bought
Zoo time is here
Passers go slowly by, maybe linger

Some stop a little longer
An item chose, an offer made
Barter or not agreement made
Exchange money with bag

Money made to cover admission
Decided now and made the decision
With fingers and toes still cold
I'm never doing another again!

Another Currancy

Up at 7, too light now
Alarm goes and i groan
Too awake to try and snooze
So out of my bed i step

A bomb laid to waste to my kitchen
Washing, drying and putting away
Final touch wipe down
And nails get cleaned in the process

Finish tidying things in the bedroom
When in a side pocket
Two twenty rand notes from Africa
2008 and all the memories flood back

I shake my head as they float
Around my head and settle
six weeks with two gay guys
And memories never to forget!

Decisions

What to decide
What to do
When fast solutions are hard to find
And choices becoming few

Mentally holding on
To get through each day
Elusive item, that this problem is from
Trying to get in any way

A new fire door to my home now
Is the door that is my way
Closing me in on all sides
Trapping me here, where i don't want to be

The door to the new house
Is where i want to be
With keys in my hand
I will then be free

Free to be at peace
Peace for my Zen
This Zen is my Utopia
My Utopia, my peace
