The Past

My love for you extends beyond belief.
  How could your love stop so suddenly?
I remember the last time I saw you,
  You didn't even look at me.
There's a part of me that hates you
  And it's hard for me to ever forgive.
I know this is God's doing
  For he has something better to give.
Maybe our paths will cross,
  Maybe they won't.
But one thing is for sure.
  The opportunity to love you again, I won't!
