Karima Griffin Poem
living life day by day
unheard, unseen, and invisible
no one knows who you are
they all say she's nobody, she's not special
yearning to be known and respected
you can't change yourself to be who you're not
people will never respect you that way
you have to treat yourself special before anyone else can
among a crowd alone and denied
denied the right to be somebody
and confined to just a face in the crowd

Karima Griffin Poem
soft music
cool breeze
the light rain falling outside
listening to beethoven and classical music
a plush couch
all that i ever need is right next to me
listening to the strings of harmony
and inner peace
slowly but surely putting me to sleep
as i float to an island
and enjoy the sun soaking me in

Karima Griffin Poem
a twinkle in the eye
a sweet song filled with grace
the sweet music of a lullaby
key notes of an a minor, sharp c, high and low f
a beautiful night
beside the wam and inviting firelight
strumming of a muse
whatever you choose
soft classical music
calm, soothing piano
like the pitter patter of light rain
you have nothing to lose but a lot to gain
for great relaxation you dont have to go far
listen to the songs of a guitar

Karima Griffin Poem
you look at people
and judge them fromt the outside
but if you don't spend time knowing them
you'll make a huge mistake assuming what is unknown
inner beauty is all about looking at the person on the inside
your caring personality, your sweetness, your kindness
your grace
too many people caring all about if you look tall, thin, beautiful, curvy, hot, etc
how about taking a second look inside
and find sometimes looks cannot match personality
and the most beautiful people can be ugly inside
and the most ugly people can be beautiful inside
sit down, take a look and realize
that beauty inside is the most powerful thing

Karima Griffin Poem
i want to go where i can relax in the hammock
and sip on mango nectar
and get facial scrubs, massages all day, mineral baths
have tons of food to choose from
sushi, buffalo wings, rice cakes, moon cakes, lobster, shrimp, lemon and maple coated
salmon, lasagna, alfredo pasta
then later i hit the gym
work my abs, butt, arms, and everything else
then take a bath in a six foot platinum and gold marble shower
lay down on my nice comfy extremely soft bed and dream
and have the maid do the laundry, cooking, sweeping
give her the day off
also my hair too
and a all expense paid one million dollar shopping spree
and have the fun of my life

Karima Griffin Poem
brooklyn is like a river
never stopping
always leading somewhere
never know where it will lead
just know that it flows somewhere and you follow
accidents. . . .
collisions
police come to the scene and restore order
drivers honk and yell
Brooklyn is sometimes like a quiet vacation
there's always a place away from the noise and chaos
a spa, a buffet, a nice place to crash and chill
trying to beat the clock
drivers honk and yell
all trucks, cars, and vans packed like sardines
all going different directions on the same route

Karima Griffin Poem
her eyes is as rich as olives
her curves as delicate as a pear
her hair as the trickling waterfall
her skin as tan
her scent is olives, pomegranate, peaches, strawberries, and raspberries
her love drowns me in fire
if i can only be with her
only just for a minute
my life is complete

Karima Griffin Poem
if i protect you
i would never let you go
i will do whatever it takes
i will try with all my heart and all my mind
you would always be safe
i would take a bullet for you
give my life line for you
you would have nothing to fear
always strong for you
i believe in my heart that i'm capable of being a protector
i just wanted you to know
some day if you should ask
how would i protect you
i have already given you my answer

Karima Griffin Poem
as i wandered into the crowd
i wondered if i'll ever survive
letting my thoughts out loud
feeling neither dead or alive
but empty as a hollow tree
not moving but rooted in the same place
everyone with their fake smiles pretending to be me
people with split personalites and two-faced
the world is blind to what others can see
alone in the thoughts of my mind
wandering like a lost soul
everyone's too busy to look inside themselves and find
trying to meet society's silly and pathetic goals
wishing to be warm and loved
and away from society's cold stone hearts
wanting what is beautiful and ripping everything else apart
many things gone wrong from what society can't finish what they start
too superior and arrogant is why society today is so proud
as i go alone and wandering out loud

Karima Griffin Poem
the air
the leaves
the breeze
the tears unheeded and carried off by the currents
time stands still
but you move on
can't see what is unseen
but you believe in it anyways
air freezing
asking me to feel nothing
is like telling me not to breathe
the air chilling from the start
behind that smiling face
is a tortured soul
who have found the strength to smile again
