Taylor Bottorff Poem
You play with my heart
as if it were an instrument to your entertainment.
You use my emotions
as the beat to your song.
You look at me
but say nothing, leaving me empty.
Is my love real to you? No,
You’re just singing through my soul with notes,
cutting me, deeper and deeper, with every verse.

Taylor Bottorff Poem
Every time I see you
people expect my heart to soar,
my cheeks to flush,
my face to smile.
But what I feel instead,
are the tiny shards of the pain you've caused,
stab me time and time again,
until I bleed out over my stupid love.

Taylor Bottorff Poem
I am infected by your gaze,
your laugh,
your smile.
I am infected with a poison.
It's called love,
and there is no antidote.
I am infected, even though your cold,
hard,
unforgiving,
stare shatters my heart.
I am infected by your love of poetry,
the arts,
music.
I am infected by your voice,
smooth,
inviting,
warm.
But most of all,
I am infected by the way I want to love you,
but we all know that won't happen.

Taylor Bottorff Poem
two years you've broke my heart
and scattered the pieces over the grave you've dug for me.
But this time,
you danced with other girls,
getting ready to shatter their hearts too.

Taylor Bottorff Poem
Three simple words to say,
but do you not say them to taunt me?
Oh, that's right, you don't know I exist,
or listen,
or love,
you too.
