Ash Motes Poem
Singing a song in my ear,
Tantalizing my anxiety and tears,
Your voice repeats my fears
Never letting me forget,
Why im here.
Doubts cloud my mind,
About myself this time,
All the time spent taping the shattered pieces,
In three words
You left them battered along the floor.
It was as if i was nothing,
Not even a lingering dust particle,
For all the time trying to fix myself,
In a few words,
It all fell...

Ash Motes Poem
Itll rip something so deep,
My soul itself will cave,
Begging for the numbness
You easily wiped away.
You'll leave an imprint,
An "almost" kinda mark,
A stark emptiness
Ill do everything to fill.
Eventually,
The darkness will beckon,
Promising lasting relief,
This time ill allow myself
That last sweet sin..

Ash Motes Poem
Tears roll down her face,
She pushes them aside,
And in an instant,
They are replaced
She arranges the tattered mask,
Hiding from everyones view,
Inside shes coming undone,
Piece by piece,
Seem from seem,
Replaying all the loses,
A never ending battle,
Between past and future.
The demons taunt,
Using every second,
Her mind they haunt,
Never giving her peace,
Talking her outta her release
They torment her with a twisted
Promise of ease.
She awakes praying for the strength ,
Just to make it thru today,
Knowing at any second,
Her resolve may break
Even so,
She plasters that smile on her face,
Hiding behind her only safe space
Showing nerves that she fakes,
And thru it all somehow,
Pulls herself together well enough,
To put a smile on your face.

Ash Motes Poem
My thoughts you dictate,
I can't do enough to escape,
It's like my whole soul you've raped,
Turning me into someone I hate.
I ing hate you,
I can't shake you,
How can you elate me
When all you did was berate me,
You had to dominate,
Using your love to intoxicate,
For you to manipulate me,
Incarcerate me
Now all I do is medicate,

Ash Motes Poem
I search daily for an escape,
For even my mind you raped,
The shattered remains of what was me
Dying daily for she can't break free.
I feel it coming on strong,
Anything to cope with this wrong,
Urgency snipping at my heal,
Just a moment I don't want to feel.
The numbness slowly creeped in,
And for a moment im free of our sin,
I pretend we have no yesterday,
Ignoring all I long for you to say.
A second of peace,
I'll pay anything for this release,
Even whats left of my soul,
Anything to escape your hold

Ash Motes Poem
We are told to love,
Even though love broke us,
We are told to be kind,
When our own left us depleted,
We are told to be selfless,
Then we end up with nothing,
What are we suppose to do,
When everything instilled in you,
Is every reason you've been destroyed,
You can't even recognize your face,
Do we reemerge to what was taught to be wrong,
Or continue on and damaging ourselves

Ash Motes Poem
The metal cools my skin where it touches,
Tears rain down below to the floor,
Memories kaleidoscope thru,
I remember the first time i kissed you,
The softness of you Id not soon forget,
It haunted my dreams night after night,
Like chasing my favorite drug,
Never letting me forget.
Now you say i have you again,
But truth is im in a war I'll never win,
For you make sure to elude me as if a dream,
Giving me just enough to keep me
I see the glimmer whenever they call,
I also wear the bruises from their pedalstooled fall,
Inside my soul whimpers
Begging to be released but i know you won't.
The tears flow down like a damn thats broken,
I asked God to forgive me, knowing he won't ,
Knowing im dooming myself quicker to a hotter hell,
I inhale a deep breathe, and ask you to forgive me,
I squeeze the trigger....

Ash Motes Poem
The last piece finally broke,
The one i've held onto desperatly,
For it was the one piece,
I used to define me.
I stare at the shattered splinters of hope,
Lying lifeless in my tattered hands,
How did i let this happen,
I rack my brain to understand.
I remember the Crystal blue,
The one that robbed my sanity,
In just a seconds glance,
With haunting intensity.
Drawn like a moth to a flame,
I have only myself to blame,
For i couldn't help
But to flirt with danger.
I handed her the loaded gun,
And bade her to pull the trigger,
She smiled, something so sweet,
For she knew she made me weak.
As the blood drip from my still hands,
The last few drops staining the sand,
Inhaling this last breathe,
I watched the happiness contort her face,
And all i could think to myself,
Was wow I finally gave her smile that way again...

Ash Motes Poem
This silence is deafening
Pressing away my sanity
Raging as the tide at dawn,
Left now with quiet
Alone inside my head
Loneliness seeping further in
No whispers of tantling dares
Only a blank empty stare,
I'll take the raging anyday
Anything to kill the silence
