Eddie Parker Poem
The sun sets on another day
It was a day like any other
With one big exception
But it was a glorious day
No rain
No haze and
Not a cloud in the sky
Blue abounded all around
That is why it seemed so odd to…
(no not yet)
The grass was green
And smelled of freshly cut
Flowers bloomed with a gloriousness
Yet unseen till today
( I don’t think you can tease them any longer)
Ok I will tell them
Today’s big event unlike all the others was…
I died

Eddie Parker Poem
She lingers on and on
in my mind
A love long since gone
From here
She lingers on and on
In a bed of white
Hooked to bings
And beeps
She lingers on and on
And She lost her will
She doesn’t hear me
Anymore
She lingers on and on
I wish I could tell her
I love her
But she isn’t there
She lingers on and on
Machines make her talk now
Bings and beeps
A symphony of anguish
She lingers on and on
She cant say she doesn’t
Want to be here
Or that she doesn’t have the will
She lingers on and on
