I Like My Space

I like my space and have not much
You try to take it all from me.
Though there are times I seek your touch
most times alone I'd rather be.

Once it was hard to be apart
when loneliness could cause much pain
Emptiness then tore at my heart.
I will not go through that again.

I like my space so give me room
and bring this story to a close.
My love may only bring you gloom
not draw you near as you suppose.

I do not fear my solitude
nor need much contact any more.
I welcome now the interlude
when you depart and close the door.

I like my space and quietude.
It gives me room and chance to grow
and feel perfect beatitude
the type I rarely seem to know.

And now I strive to be alone
no need for people anymore
A hardened heart since then has grown.
My past has numbed me to the core.

I like my space so stay away
or feel my darkness if you dare.
I do not want you anyway.
There is not any love to share.

So let me go and do not wait
thinking that there may be a chance.
Deep down I know it is too late
I can no longer feel romance.

I Hear a Whisper In the Breeze

I hear a whisper in the breeze
and think someone is calling me.
Fireflies glimmer round the trees
but there is no one that I see.

I hear you but I see you not
then sling my arrow in the air
and then appears the one I sought
In front I see you standing there.

My arrow hit and brought you here
and now it seems you cannot fly.
You sadly tremble here in fear.
I see your pain and hear you cry.

I ask you then to come with me.
You say that there can be no way
exclaiming it can never be
You tell me that you cannot stay

I look at you and fall in love
and to my forest home we ride
as softly rain falls from above,
warm shelter we then find inside

Long days go by and so you heal.
You walk out through the open door.
I wonder still if this was real
Your lovely face I see no more.

It was perhaps something I said
or maybe things that I have done.
Those things resound within my head.
I really thought she was the one

Rednaxela the Dragon

Near Chinatown
the king forsakes
his golden crown
but sword he takes.

In mid twilight
the dragon wakes
eager to fight
and battle makes..

The dragon roars
as flames creep higher
dense cold rain pours
quenching the fire.

with flaming eyes
and razor teeth
he brings demise
to those beneath.

dark leather wings
sharp talons slash
as lightning brings
a brilliant flash.

A soldier swings
his gleaming blade
and stone he slings
most unafraid.

The brazen king
then does appear
no sword to swing
He hurls a spear.

He lacerates
the armored skin
and devastates
the life within.

The dragon fails
to rise again
The king inhales
then laughs in pain.

Rednaxela Tried Not To Feel

Rednaxela tried not to feel
but in his heart a love did burn.
What happened next did make him reel
His one true love then did return.

Details about that did not seem
to be correct in any way.
The dragon felt it was a dream
so fast asleep he hoped to stay.

He asked her why she did come back.
She answered but did not explain
why she thought true love he did lack.
Her words resounded with disdain.

A battle raged within his heart
that made him feel the war was lost.
Emotion ripped his mind apart.
He fought to win at any cost.

He did not want to wake from this
and find out that she was not there.
He thought his one love he would miss
but woke up and did no more care.

I Can Not Take Back What Was Said

I can not take back what was said
and would not if I could.
Without fake love I could instead
feel something that I should.

Dark entities will often pose
as someone that can care.
They promise love and offer those
something which is not there.

I ponder why you still pretend
to think that it was real
and wonder why you did not send
me love that I can feel.

For many days you were not there
and did not give much thought
about the things you claimed to care
that now you have not got.

I still remember when you said
that love meant everything.
Those words that echoed in my head
no longer mean a thing.

Illusory Realm Vagaries

Am I now destined to remain
in this cold realm that binds me here?
Can I not flee this dark domain
or make reality appear?

Strange illusory vagaries
distort my thoughts and crowd my mind.
Foul evil spreads her vile disease
scorching my eyes to make me blind.

This lurid illusory realm
attempts to now extract my soul.
I cannot let it overwhelm
or lose my mind to its control.

Must I now travel back in time
to change the timeline that exists?
Can I expunge this paradigm
to shake delusions that persist?

I must not let time seal my fate
and keep me here to die this way
but travel to a former date
and put an end to my dismay.

I Still Remember Nights She Cried

I still remember nights she cried
and knew life would not be the same.
My feelings then I could not hide
and felt I should accept some blame.

At seventeen I left my home
and rarely came to say hello.
And while I was compelled to roam
my mother always loved me so.

I found her when her time was due
and saw her life was passing fast
but never thought it would be true
that this would be the very last.

I thought somehow she would come back
while others then had not much hope.
And while real faith I did not lack
there was so much with which to cope.

Then close to her I then did wait
when death had visited her bed.
I found her when it was too late
to say the things I could have said.

The Rose You Gave Was Not For Me

The rose you gave was not for me.
I knew this love could not be real.
You did not give it lovingly
It had not warmth I once did feel.

The rose you gave me was for you
cut down to die and grow no more
It did reveal love was not true.
I knew who it was really for.

The love you gave was not for me.
I felt it fade and vanish fast.
The rose has died no more to be.
Unlike true love it could not last.

The love you gave was meant for you
Your lust for life did fail to see
it choked the rose as lust can do
and killed love that you had for me.

The rose you gave refused to live
much like the love that could not grow.
You could not ever hope to give
the type of love you could not know.

My love had died quite like the rose
and may not ever be again
Your lust for life may offer those
A glimpse of love but give them pain.

Gold Autumn Leaves With Withered Rose

Gold autumn leaves with withered rose
crumble like promises we made.
To dust returns the love I chose
as rust consumes the sharpened blade.

Wet grindstone hones the rusted edge.
Love swings the sword I can't evade.
You watch me teeter on the ledge
but find no words that can dissuade.

My broken thoughts can not sustain
the quest for all that I do lack.
Yet though vague flashbacks still remain
I know this too will fade to black.

I never thought that anything
that felt so right could ever die.
What was once love would later bring
an end to thinking I should try.

Rednaxela Again Did Rise

The dragon raised his regal head
as flames erupted from below.
Rednaxela had died they said
but I knew that it was not so.

Rednaxela again did rise
to overcome his evil foes.
The fame he knew was built on lies
not what the poet did compose.

The stories told of his demise
were far from what the truth did hold.
He did not die so realize
that those were merely lies they told.

Rednaxela had lived to fight
consuming evil in his path.
He battled darkness of the night
that merely served to fuel his wrath.

Rednaxela did never lose.
Victorious he conquered all
But in the end he then did choose
to love the one that caused his fall.

Rednaxela could not believe
that his true love would go away.
The dragon thought she would not leave
and thought true love would make her stay.

The dragon lost his lust for life
feeling the knife stab deep his heart.
The love he had for his sweet wife
was lost when it fell all apart.
