The Island of Unlived Dreams

The ship left the dock but in the darkness and all alone
In the open seas she circled again and again
With no light to guide her along the way and her direction uncharted
She sadly returned back to the only security she’s ever known
And to the passengers not yet ready to be left alone
Though her journey short and unfulfilled
Hope still hangs in her midst that one day she will brave the rough waters
Long enough to find the Island Of Unlived Dreams

Refiners Fire

I run into the Refiners Fire
Engulf me in flames
Purge away my pain
For out of the Ashes
Beauty Comes Forth

Bring Me Home Again

How did I end up here.?
How did I lose my way?
Tossed in this sea of destruction,
I drift further and further each day.
Loneliness surrounds me,
As the waves keep crashing in.
How do I get back ?
Bring me home again
Lost in the tidal wave of confusion
Surrounded by torture and shame
I feel as if I drowning
Immortalized in pain
Imprisoned by my past
Held captive by my mate
Is this all there is to my life
My unquestionable inevitable fate?
There has to be more than this
There must be another way
I refuse to believe You created me
Just to endure this pain every day.
But where do I belong in this great big
Massive world ?
Show me my place let Your will be unfurled
Father, Let the tide turn
Bring me home again

The Ocean of Dreams of Lands Unknown

Each event in life will change the course of our ship

Mistakes can lead us to a better place if we let them

Though temporarily engulfed by the waves

We must endure and rise above the current

And follow the stream that swiftly flows

Into the ocean of dreams of lands unknown

It's when we drop the anchor that we grow stagnant

and sink into the depths of despair and enmity

Wasted Pain

What could be worse than the pain in this life
Unless it is wasted pain
Wasted on unforgiveness,insecurities and shame
If left unprunned we will never change

Resuscitate Me

Like a horse without a name

A rider on the shore

I pretend to know my way

But how can I be sure

When all around is dark

And the future seems so grey

Using the rear view mirror to

Guide me through each day

With one foot on the ground

And the other hanging limp

I navigate my course

Like a sinking ship

Drowning in the pain

With no one else to blame

My sorrow and my shame

Came crashing down on me

Like a wave upon a rock

With one leg in the past

The other running fast

On wounded knees I stumble

With every step I take

As I struggle to exist

You unfailingly insist

These burdens were never

Meant to bear alone

I choose to have no fear

with a future still unclear

and as I let go………..

You gently take the lead

And in a moments time

Like a renewing of the mind

Your peace and comfort

 Resuscitate me
