Another Discarded Love

Another Discarded Love

I was in love once
I thought it was most perfect
At first it seemed so

But lo and behold
Like all good things it turned bad
Maybe it was me

I am not perfect
But you weren’t perfect either
We almost were though

It ended with pain
Pain from the blade and the heart
Tears fell from your eyes

I think of you a lot
Sometimes I even ask about you
They tell me you’re fine

I still want our love
I still wish for it every night
I still wish for you

A Self Struggle

I sit around now
Laying on the ground now
Making no sounds now
Trying to be found now
But no one’s around now
I’m beating the ground now
Making many sounds now
Gave up on being found now
I sit around now
The feelings profound now
Gave up on sound now
Stopped beating the ground now
And to death I am bound now

The End

I know how this works
I have had suicide on my mind
You keep saying hurtful words
Yeah you keep saying the worst kind

I try to listen to the birds
And pay attention to nature
But you left me dying in the dirt
And now I’m looking for the cure

You left me needing medication
And yes I’m sure this is how I want to go
I want to leave this terrible nation
Put the gun to my head you already know

It’s like going on a vacation
You already know what happens next
I’m not actually happy, it’s just an imitation
I explained it all in my text

I’m on the boat of life
I’m bringing the future to the past
I’m bringing peace to this war of strife
And going top speed and releasing the mast

A Lost Friend

The empty desk in the room
Sits so still, shrouded in gloom
And anyone who sits there sits upon doom
For he once sat in the now empty desk in the room

He was gone so quick
Leaving our minds sad and sick
And now grief or grievance we must pick
We make the choice for he who was gone so quick

There were three people in the car that day
Joking and laughing all their worries away
How the day was led so astray
Will only be known to the two who walked away

The desk still sits empty and alone
His life, brightly once shone
It like all good things are prone
Was wasted, and away it was thrown

I Miss You

I miss you…
I miss your deep brown eyes
Like chocolate kisses on your beautiful face
I miss your warm smile; it may not have lit up the room
But it certainly lit up my heart
I miss your long dark hair I used to play with so much
I miss your hands that I held in my own so often
I miss your lips that left a delicious watermelon taste on mine
I miss coming over at midnight, even if I had to walk
I miss everything about you, the way you’d bite my lips
I even miss the way you said my name with your beautiful accent
I miss the way I was when I was with you, I miss being happy
I miss driving around with your friends, even though we were alone
I miss your unwavering loyalty, and my own loyalty to you
I miss the way we used to hug, you in my arms
I miss the way we’d fight, yes even the way we used to fight
I’d take a million more fights with you then not being with you
I miss the way you would comfort me, even unknowingly
I just miss you

An Evil Place

School is a terrible thing
With teachers who are duke
And a principal who is tyrant king
But I, Sir Luke,
Am a knave
All other students I must save
For the tyrant king plans to enslave
He hides behind a smile and a firm nod
He’ll act nice for awhile, but oh god
A beast he becomes
Yes, a beast for answers and sums
And of course what is a king without his knights
Football players and the likes
They are illiterate fools I say
But I agree I must stay out of their way
For if I don’t a terrible price I must pay
And like all others, I at the end of the day
Am just waiting for the best chance to break away

Tyrant Nights

Nights are long, days are quiet
Another day, another night
Days are gone, nights are tyrant
You promise me, its all alright

Nights are long, days are quiet
You promise me, but I don’t buy it
I know of long nights, I know of quiet days
I know of silent fights, and I know of simple ways

Nights are long, days are quiet
Bitter love, and sweet violence
Night rules, it is tyrant
All sit together in its silence

Happiness

Yesterdays’ dream is tomorrows’ adventure
All my thoughts are of when I first met her
How changed she is, oh how she is different
Blowing through my life like an unstoppable torrent

I wish for change and I wish for happiness
But ever since she’s arrived I’ve felt happy less
The shoes on my feet carry me to only her
She is so different from the start of this adventure

Help Me Name This In the Comments Please

It's been too long, it hurts to open my eyes
It's been long enough so I wake up to your face
It's been too long, I can see through your lies
It's been long enough come closer I can't stand this space

Why are these days so long and the weeks so short
Why is winter so cold and summer so warm
Why are some born blessed and some born cursed
Why do I love to feel love when I know how much it hurts

Take my heart from me please and all of my feelings too
Let me feel nothing, I wanna be numb so i forget about you
Take my soul any hope for me has been lost, I'm broken
Take my pride and will and destroy it, destroy me, I'm broken
