Gift of the Song

Reflections
Songs Not worded or versed
Pure instrumental voice
Peaceful and soothing
Listening
Mild and calm contemplating
Reflective and serene
Like the past scenes
Developing
the repetitive beating
ongoing melody
subtle innuendos
 Producing
 Improvising therapeutic
And joyous melt
the gift of a song

W t Bacon

a poem inspired by easy listening jazz and poltics

Greiving Coaster

As I mourn the end of my marriage
An era of ups and downs
Good times and bad times
New heights and extreme lows
First, I was upset
Denying the marriage was bad
Then the sadness crept in
Why us?
We've been together so long
My emotions, I looked for peace of mind
But anxiety crept deeply in
The loneliness, realizing I was alone
The confused though,t what now?
Working through this roller coaster
Taken to different heights
I accepted the stages and strived for the highest peak
I am at peace with it now as I speak

My Rosemary

My Rosemary

Looked up, and the sun was awake
Bright and shining down on me
Reflecting off a beautiful lake
Then I thought of you

Chorus: What a find, oh yeah ever so kind, My Rosemary

Rosemary appeared at a time of need
Planted a seed in my heart
Hopefully, one day we will meet
And never be apart

Chorus

We decided we must chat
We talked and talked
No, there is no turning back
She has planted that seed in my heart

Chorus

Now a week has passed
And I am writing her a song
Hopefully it won't be long
And we can meet

Chorus

Wonderful Horizons

The beauty of the horizon, such vivid and curved shapes
Wonderful eyes looking down deeply into my soul
The gentle strokes of sunlight mirror a reflection back to mine
Disciplined and resolute with classic reactions for her time
Versed Karma of a destiny to fulfil
Our paths cross at the right
A moment to wonderful horizons

The Well

The Well

Dreams staying still
Null, brittle devoid
From Cosmo's mold
Diminishing to depths
Out of the well
Voices moving in harmony
Utter resonances swell
Instinct and fears
Stinging the senses
As rebuilding fences

Vision of my mind

Far above the reaches of my mind
A mystery enslaves my thoughts
Entitling a Spector Visual Spectrum (SVS)
Scoping all enterprises of my mind
Enslaving a rainbow arc
Captures in visual power
Catching the historical recesses
Memorable times of speculating
Reaches the final the cranium sought
Still trying to catch up what's taught
My mind settles on the present
recycling and referring to the past
Imagining what flew back
Subtly remembering it at last
Still centered on Rainbow Vision of my mind.

The Corona Blues

The Corona Blues (Revisited)

So sick of being stuck at home
Just want to get out and roam
Can go nowhere without a mask
Can’t do my weekly tasks
I got the lowdown Corona blues

Get high all-day
It’s the only way
I can deal with the stress
Of all this mess
I got the lowdown Corona Blues....

Some say it's overblown
That really makes me moan
That statement is so untrue
Follow the rules on what to do
I got the lowdown Corona Blue.

Seems now people don’t listen
As this virus mutates and glistens
Some ignore the fact it exists
Do the wrong thing and take risks
Yeah, I got the lowdown Corona (Covid-19) Blues

Just a little humor to lighten people's moods a little

Never End

See the daylight entering our meeting
Rays a spectrum at last face to face
Such similarities to me like amend
Teneative of rays hot to the sky
We never have to say goodbye
Completing and committing to trust
Never let it get stale or rust
Sunlight and clouds concur
to secure a planned meetup
Walking the path of glory
Exaltation parise to the day
Spring brings new life to say
Let this day never end

GRAND ILLUSION

"It's not in the way that you use it"
with the color of that money
Made a "run" for it
"Something is tearing us apart"
A "Bad: influence took control
But I "walk(ed)" away
I am "hung up up on your love"
I "take a chance" but flew away like dove
"Holding on" for my own good
Do I " miss you" Love
"Holy Mother" let's pray
To conclude the" mask of confusion"
It has been a "Grand Illusion"

Grand Illusion from Eric Clapton's AUGUST ALBUM

THE FAST LANE

"Take it to the limit" as i
Have a "peaceful easy feeling"
I will be Already gone"
When I leave your "Lyin eyes"
Drinking a " Tequilla Sunrise"
"After the Thrill is gone"
Then "Take it Easy"
Sending the "Best of my Love"
While I still Live "Life in the Fast Lane".

A Tribute to The Eagles.
