To My Dad

The first person to hold me on the cold winter night
Out of all the stars in the sky, to me he is my saving light
His calloused, shaking hands guiding through my fright
His only care is to raise me right
The love for each other, is never out of sight
His hugs,His scent, His love always holds me tight

She Says

She says she pushes me,when really she breaks me
She says i’m ungrateful ,when really I bend backwards for people
She says i’ve got no future, when really prepare myself
She says i’m just a kid, when really I have to act like an adult

She says she loves me,when really I doubt it
She says to put on a smile, when really I can’t
She says I am not broken, when really I am shattered
She says I just want attention, when really I need someone to talk to

She emits all harsh things in my head
I try to push her out,I can’t ,because she overwhelms me
She consumes my life with her negative ways
I tell her to leave my mind,my soul,my thoughts

She says she can’t leave my thoughts
People tell me it will get better
My thoughts,my mind,my soul , not longer belongs to me
I can’t even control myself

The After Shock

Hold my thoughts, keep them from me
Help me release them, and so I can be free
As I tremble and lament
I can’t handle the sad torment
