Snow

I woke up one morning, still sleepy, still slow
Then dad said “Hey Sam, have you seen the snow”?

“Snow”! I shouted, now in a dash,
I put my clothes on, quick as a flash.

Moving quickly now, sleepy no more,
I grabbed my sledge and headed for the door.

Whizzing down the hills, what fun I had,
Made some snowballs and threw them at Dad.

Face getting colder, nose starting to glow,
“Come on Sam!” Dad said, “It’s time to go”.

Sitting by the fire now, thinking about my day,
I really really wish that the snow will stay.

Boris the Cat

Boris is my cat and he’s so very soppy
He likes his tummy tickled and is never stroppy

He’s friendly and gentle and follows me around
Always by my side is where he will be found

With his long white whiskers he’s a handsome chap
I wonder what he’s thinking as he lies in my lap

He’s so very clever, he’s always been that way
I really think he understands every word I say

Sometimes late at night he goes completely daft
Watching him chase his toys, you really have to laugh

Boris is not just my cat, he's a family member too
So Boris, for completing my happy home – thank you!

Saint Nick

It's Christmas Eve and Saint Nick is busy
In fact he was getting a little bit dizzy

An elf asked how will you get a present to every child
But Saint Nick just chuckled and smiled

Magic he said is what we’ll use
Get the reindeers ready and we’ll go for a cruise

Flying through the air at a million miles per hour
He called to his elves – you see the magical power!

Hurtling down chimneys at the speed of light
Filling the worlds stockings all in one night

Drinking the milk and eating mince pies
His already large tum growing in size

Heading home now, his work all done
Saint Nick’s race against the sun is finally won

The Great Samprendo

The great Samprendo stood on the stage
The audience waited for what seemed like an age
Suddenly he turned with with a swish of his cloak
He really was an incredible bloke.

A flash of lightning and a crash of thunder
Everyone just stared with wonder
Samprendo’s cloak fell to the ground
The great magician nowhere to be found

The crowd gasped then cheered
How could he have just disappeared?
A few seconds later a voice called from the back
“Bravo” said a man all dressed in black

The audience turned to look at this fellow
And were amazed to see the great Samprendo
Sitting calmly and clapping his hands
The greatest magician in all of the land.
