Captivating Cake

Once there was a wedding in town
With gorgeous flowers set around,
But no one noticed them abound

They were too busy trying to admire
A beautiful cake designed as a shire
Made with flour and eggs, all cooked in a fire

No one noticed the groom or bride
They only saw the baker’s pride
And longed to know the taste inside.

As their mouths watered, the vows were made
Their desire had still yet to fade
Once again their eyes were laid

On the cake of majesty and love
Crafted depicting a flying dove
Everyone in the line would shove

To get the scrumptious treat
Once it was theirs they would eat
Not caring about troubles they would meet.

Once there was a wedding fair
But no one cared or would dare
Risk missing the many delicious layers.

The Fighter

One thing is evident from all of this pain:

You can’t stop what’s coming in life,

Every attempt will be in vain.

It starts with a small disaster,

Woe sticking its foot in your door,

And from there it spirals faster.

Life attempts to pin you down

But you get up and fight through it

You won’t stay on the ground.

Life and pain do their worst with you,

But you push hack with all of your might.

Refusing to be the one it does this to.

Crush

I wanna think I like you, but I know it's just the view.
I see what I want to and I don't want to choose.
I love the image of you in my head and it always leaves a heavy tread.
I need you to like what you see, so I front someone you want me to be.
I rehearse every word and response, but I get so choked up it's hardly worth the thoughts.
When you talk to me I get so scared and I love the feeling of being impaired.
It's a comfortable fear and thought it brings tears, I want more as long as I'm torn.
This feeling is terrible, yet my desire for it's unbearable.
I don't know what I'll do when you're gone forever if I never claim your endeavor.
