Melted Chocolate

I took all forms,
Just to fit his molds,
I varied from bitter to sweet,
Depending on what he needs.

I coated him with comfort;
A sweet strawberry dessert,
He devoured in one bite,
With a gluttonous appetite.

When there was no more,
He turned on the stove,
He set me on fire,
With all his selfish desire.

Sweet chocolate drips,
From his succulent lips,
That filled him with bliss,
For just a few minutes.

Missing Piece

A hundred puzzle pieces scattered on the floor.
All is in place, except for one more.

I didn’t realize one was missing.
And it seems there’s no chance of it resurfacing.

I’ve looked everywhere.
I couldn’t find it anywhere.

It’s hard to look for something unknown.
All on my own.

With only a picture of what could be.
If only I could find the missing puzzle piece.

Echoes of Misery

I repeat myself over and over
An endless string of blunder---
Knotted and tied with my affliction
Ending nowhere but in damnation
Echoes bouncing on walls and pillars
While I’m locked under cellars---
My words falling with a clatter
Echoes of bone-chilling isolation
Over and over
My voice travels in crevices of the river
Slowly drowning in water
I can see my reflection
A figure of distortion---
Falling deeper and deeper
Over and over.
