Who I Want To Be

I want to be independent,
The kinda girl who you know doesn't need anyone but herself.
I want to be rebellious,
The kinda girl who doesn't let anyone tell her what to do.
I want to be creative,
The kinda girl who paints murals of the stars at midnights.
I want to be brave,
The kinda girl who rides into to battle without looking back.
I want to be beautiful, the kinda girl who everyone stares at when she walks in.
I want to be happy,
The kinda girl who's smile never slips off her face.
Most of all who I really want to be
Is anyone or anything who isn't me.

My Wild Heart

My wild hear will not go quietly,
It'll thrash and rave at society's cage.
It wants to see sun be buried beneath
Each of the seven seas.
It wants to watch the raindrops chase each other
Down all the leaves of the rainforest.
It wants to jump from culture to culture
Leaving a piece of itself with the ones it leaves behind.
It wants to stare at the city lights, how they illuminate
The sky like the dreams of the people.
It wants to listen at campfires to an old woman's
Stories and a newborn's cries.
My wild heart will not be tamed,
For there is too much to do.

My Guardian

With wings of hellfire
And a halo of ash
You shielded me from the night
Your eyes
Consumed universes
Your smile
Illuminated all the dark cities
I was enchanted
But you were a free spirit
And you'd never let happiness
Be your cage.

Save the Earths Self Esteem

Guns. Liars. Blood.
War gets harsher,
A child's sock lies beneathe the collapsed orphanage,
It's singed at the edges with crimson blood staining its innocence.
The earth gets warmer,
A young polar bear cries out for the family it has lost,
He searches for a place where the ice is still cold.
Society gets crueller,
A teenager falls onto the bathroom floor in uncontrollable sobs,
She is searching for an escape from the pain.
The earth's self esteem is dangerously low.
It is because it's most advanced species is killing it.

Tattoos

I'll destroy myself you say
But I dont want to be just another
Ordinary corpse.
I want my bones to be multicoloured
My hair the colour of the sea
I want more tattoos
Than stars under the sky
I want so many piercings
That when they reflect off the sun
They blind the people around me
I don't want to be just another
Ordinary corpse
I won't let you take away
My chance to leave something behind

Fight For Me

You are not afraid
To go to war for those
You love
And that my darling
Is why I will always
Look at you
Like you put the stars
In the sky
Because my dear
You fought for me
When I had given up

Winter Will End

Just hold on
Thes crippling winds will halt their relentless attack on your fighting heart.
Just hold on
The rebirth of the spring sun's rays will thaw your frozen heart.
Just hold on
The swirling dance of the snowflakes will cease their compulsion on your frenzied heart.
Just hold on
The orchestra of wails and penetrating raindrops will yield their assault on your failing heart.
Just hold on
Just hold on
All things end sentences, silence , sorrow and winter's war on you.
