I display my heart on this paper to find closure...
This game of love we play only to cry later...
Whatever, I guess I'm still a little emotional...
Talking to myself like, JP you got to let it go...
They say real men don't cry so I hide behind my ego...
You said I hurt you, how much I guess I'll never know...
So I picked up my pen to write down my sin for my eyes to see...
From what I see, I understand if you don't ever forgive me...
But truth is, you hurt me too, I just know how to hide the pain...
Damn my head's spinning, the Henny is strong...
But I must admit my queen, we both did wrong...
So before you condemn me, give me a chance to make amends...
Therefore, find it in your heart to not turn your back on me...
Trust me, I feel your pain I know it will not be easy...
So I will give you time until you find the strength you need...
In the mean time I'll hold on to these memories to heal me slowly...

In a world full of people still feeling lonely...
It's only me and my shadow when it's sunny...
They all love me when they want something from me...
The struggle I embrace for it reveals my frenemies...
I welcome the darkness for it helps me see...
Society wants me in a box so I write to be free...
how sad, my genius is misunderstood by many...
I'm like a mad scientist trap in my own creativity...
The day my brother died I stopped acting godly...
Dear God I bit the apple and I don't want forgiveness...
This pain gives me strength, so I'll become the strongest...
Your love hurts deep, so let it cut open my chest...
It's just me against the world, so I strive to be the best...

She cries but the tears were in her words...
So to wipe away her tears I offer her my ears...
Sadness in her eyes got a river flows in mine...
Such heart-ache to such a beautiful soul...
I hope my act of kindness replaces what he stole.

I am a hundred percent committed to the cause
Even if it meant putting my heart on pause
I miss reciting my poems and your heart would applause
I'm such an optimist, for I believe I'll be seeing you again
How could I not, you got my heart, so I got a lot to gain
I hate dreamers for they never stop to medicine their pain
I need to put the pen down and pick up a damn bottle
I shouldn't have gone all in and put my heart on the table
But every true player knows to find love one must gamble
I swear, the ghost of the past can make a genius gullible
Thinking I could ignore the pain by just pretending
It's crazy how liquor can bring back dead feelings
How sad it is when the heart realizes who it's missing
But this sadden heart is committed to find its true love.

I don't want someone who will die for me...
I just want someone who will live for me...
Someone to stand with me through adversity...
Someone with a kind heart and brilliant mind...
I want that someone special that is hard to find...
Life can be stressful so she must have a sense of humor...
In dark days her presence will make things brighter...
Someone who can take a good man and make him better...
I want someone I can be with happily ever after...
So when you read my this my dear, ask yourself are you her?
