Tale of a Sad Heart

I am a hundred percent committed to the cause Even if it meant putting my heart on pause I miss reciting my poems and your heart would applause I'm such an optimist, for I believe I'll be seeing you again How could I not, you got my heart, so I got a lot to gain I hate dreamers for they never stop to medicine their pain I need to put the pen down and pick up a damn bottle I shouldn't have gone all in and put my heart on the table But every true player knows to find love one must gamble I swear, the ghost of the past can make a genius gullible Thinking I could ignore the pain by just pretending It's crazy how liquor can bring back dead feelings How sad it is when the heart realizes who it's missing But this sadden heart is committed to find its true love.
